The worst thing about the blue shell is that it barely benefits the person who threw it. They have to be several places behind, so the chances of them moving up even one place as a result of throwing the shell are pretty slim.

i outran a blueshell on mario circuit without mushrooms, which makes me wonder if theres a way that every track can outrun a blueshell because what has stopped me before is usually bad driving
