    Why tf did you try such difficult pieces when you can clearly not play them yet you are not diffeent than other people just do it the slow right way play bach inventions and sinfonias, than waltz in a minor etc you are clearly not ready for a single of the pieces in this video

    From my point of view, it's not about the time. It's not about how 12 months of self practice can make him play all those hard pieces. It's about how he's consistent, and put commitment into his practices. When you make a decision when you're above 18+ years old, usually you really put your mind into it. So great job!!

    Tbh it’s really impressive how you’ve managed to play some of the hardest piano pieces after for learning for just a year, But one piece of advice (no hate tho just actual genuine advice): being able to hit all the notes doesn’t mean you can play the piece, the most important part of playing the piece is the technique you have which creates the atmosphere and stuff, so you should work on your technique before trying harder pieces because your technique kinda (no hate tho I’m just being genuine, pls don’t hate me for this 🙃) needs a bit of work Also some probably wouldn’t have spotted your flaws in technique because fast pieces tends to cover up for the flaws in technique but people who play the piano would notice But all in all it’s mad impressive how you’ve made this much progress in just a year tho fr

      You didn’t have to justify yourself that much because your advices are just common sense, and I completely agree with you on that. I didn’t have any teacher or anyone close to me in the field I just wanted to have fun and wasn’t aiming to improve in a traditional way, haha. I’m not a professional, and I’m not trying to achieve some absolute form of perfection. The perfection I aim for is the one that satisfies me. To me, you never really finish learning a piece. As long as it sounds good to my ears and I enjoy making it flow better, that’s all that matters. I understand the value of traditional approaches, but my goal is simply to enjoy the process in my own way. And that’s what instruments were created for in my opinion, to fulfill a sense of satisfaction and bring peace, not to create frustration from an endless pursuit of perfection like it’s often taught today. My Fantaisie-Impromptu sounds much better today, but I only refine it for the joy it brings me, not because I feel the need to prove anything to anyone. Thank you for taking the time to give advice to a random player, sorry for the long message btw

      @ that’s really cool, total respect for learning for fun and to enjoy the process👍🏻, and you’re totally right about the traditional method of often getting frustrated from pursuing perfection in every piece because I sometimes feel that too 🫠, keep up the good work

    You are skipping so many fundamentals, start with an easier piece like twinkle twinkle or minuet in g, practice scales and arpeggios slowly. Skipping to advanced pieces so fast like Fantasie Impromptu and spending time practicing them while they're so far above your level will hurt you in the long run. It's much better to build strong foundations and slowly work your way up

    learning small sections of a piece (and not even to the right tempo) and showing them off instead of actually learning them fully is a joke, being able to play the first 30 seconds of something isn't impressive. Try maybe building up and learning from beginner-intermediate-advanced songs instead of just looking up 'hardest etudes and piano compositions' on google

    Well done. You did very well. I would suggest that you start learning to read the sheet music, it will really help you learn the pieces faster (you already know that😂) And try to learn some easier pieces that are more on your level of difficulty (a lot of the pieces you played are on the advanced level to super advanced) because that way you can learn to master those pieces and then gradually make the pieces harder. You play beautifully and keep on working hard!

  • @elisajs22
    @elisajs22 หลายเดือนก่อน

    this is really good! One advice though: try to play less fast. Then you could really try to get the method better, and even if it’s not as fast as the normal music, it will be just as good (like for example: fantasie impromptue: you play really fast and we hear you losing control and coordination of your fingers due to the speed). ps: i was like that too as a beginner, it’s been 12 years now, and I still do it sometimes, common mistake.

    I started learning the same way you did. I can’t read sheet music but I do have to say learning pieces that are so far out of your league and just being able to sort of play 10 pieces versus being able to successfully play 3-4 pieces is not good man. Just because it halts your learning and skillset. It’s like trying to only shoot deep 3 point shots in basketball but you can’t make a layup or dribble the ball. I’m just saying focus on playing pieces smoothly consistently and effortlessly versus fumbling through difficult pieces just because. It’ll do you much better personally
