Brian Harrell, B31, discovers a stolen vehicle. Units close on it and it's determined the vehicle is occupied by juveniles. The pursuit is cancelled by the BGPD policy.

We woke beside flowing waters of the river after its rippling soothed us all night. We had breakfast, packed and walked 12.7 miles to the trailhead and our car. We booked a last night at Cascades Inn. The next day was the long drive home.

Woke to below freezing temperatures, hot coffee helped. The plan was to walk 8-9 miles and camp again. But after 4.7 miles we found a perfect place right beside a rushing mountain river. We changed our plans and set up camp.

Cropper and I began our hike at the western trailhead. It began in 34 degree temperatures and the day ended at 69. While the trail had plenty of elevation changes, it was well maintained with no roots or rocks to impede us. After 6.5 miles we settled in at a flat area near a stream.

Al Cropper and David Roach set out to hike the western start of The Foothills Trail.

Dispatch gives out a stolen car that just occurred. John Stewart, 198, locates the vehicle. He is assisted by David Roach, 125 and Bill Stephens, 170. After investigation, it is determined that the car wasn't stolen but a divorce disagreement.

May 20. 1990. Radio traffic of a vehicle pursuit initiated by David Roach, 193 and assisted by Ralph Beach, 113. I was driving a slick top police can, no lightbar, the blue lights were in the car's grill. I barely remember this happening. Since the driver was unknown no charges were ever pursued.
