Other than the instant respawn, I actually like being the bomb in this game better than in 64. Of course I’ve never played this Battle Mode because you need at least three copies of the game to access it. I think if they ever bring this back in a future MK game, which I really hope they do, it should respawn after a few seconds when hit by an item or hazard, and then when you hit someone, then that’s it. I also really love how you always get mushrooms from touching item boxes to help you catch up to your target.

Finally beat everything. Whew! That was something. I'm pretty sure you cannot beat "Corn" or "Angler" without guessing.

Fun fact: it’s possible to tell you’re both in the same room just by listening! The game audio seems to be coming from your speakers, which would create horrible echo over a Discord call, but not if everyone is in the same room!

How many unlimited 1-Up demos are there?

Is there any way to tell if you completed Time Trial Mode? Will it remember which puzzles you cleared if you turn off the game or you have to do it all in one shot lol? I find the name registration confusing. I initially thought I had already done the same puzzle and it was registering my time again.

Notice how Larry wasn't even a threat? He was taunting Luigi but not once did he attack him physically or anything. Luigi did not act in self-defense, that was murder. Also, if Bowser wants Luigi stopped and all that... why not have his Koopalings actually you know... attack Luigi or anything at all?

With all the other weird things they added to Mario 3 like one-way bumpers and flurries, it's easy to miss that they made a Sonic and Tails type mechanic where you play as Mario with Luigi following you and repeating your actions. Funny that this was only included in the e-reader coin room of all places. Probably a beta element they wanted to do more with at some point, but who knows. Lot of cool ideas in this remake. It's too bad it took so long for most of the new stuff to be accessible, and a shame some card effects were left out of even the Wii U version. But they really did go the extra mile with this one.
