The sequel came out 20 years ago....

Wow, poor evolution to aliens. They suddenly land on planet x then with out scan mapping the entire planet they automatically find a location flat all because a guy shouts: god designs uneven. While i like how they tried remaking the legacy of weyland yutami corporation, but explaining this to people how aliens evolved right after the ending credits sucks for those who are fans. Most about this movie annoys me and offends me especially the next ms weaver wannabe. The scripts so transparent.

This movie really isn't a prequel. It's just something that happened in the same universe before the events in Alien. A sequel to Prometheus might directly tie the two movies together, but until then there aren't enough similarities to call it a prequel. I personally loved it :)

No it isn't. That Engineer went after Elizabeth and was killed (leading up to "the scene" of the movie). Also, Prometheus and Alien occur on different planets/moons. A lot is yet to be explained.

I like that Prometheus's Trailer doesnt give anything really away because I think that todays trailers are too generous of what they show like in the new prequel to The Thing their was two parts that gave away who was going to turn in the movie which pissed me off when I saw the movie(I for one actualy thought the movie was good) I think more movie trailers today need to be more like Prometheus's trailer in the way that it doesnt give much away.
