Video demonstrating typical pneumatic crimp cycle for Pico tools 500-D-1 pneumatic crimping tool. There is a large amount of air being moved through the tool. The tool does exhaust air at a high rate, but through a small bleed hole. The sound level can be high, and can be misinterpreted as a 'leak'. This is normal function for this tool.

Model 400-BEC has external directional valve and timer, and electronic switch. 400-BEC operates on both pneumatic air and 110v.

Pico Series 600 Automatic Feed Crimping machine. This machine is a pneumatic, PLC logic driven crimping machine that uses feeder bowl technology to deliver pin and socket contacts in bulk for automatic crimping. Feed tracks and crimping indentors can be changed in order to crimp a wide variety of sizes.
I laughed so hard when I saw the end of the process where a person still had to stick a wire into the hole for each component. Great technology though.
obviously you've never put ferrules on wires manually.

Would a double crimp die be unaffordable? A die with the same capability as AMP 48752-1.

Would the steps to service the larger 500 model tool be more or less the same? The service manual mentions a guide tool for reinstalling the piston- can it be done without , as shown in this video?
