Baccarat rouge 540 DUPES | YOUR SCENT BAE
The no buy seems like a good idea, but as a little sidenote: that way of showcasing (pretty) full perfume bottles also ages the scents faster. The scent notes react to air and light. I collected au de toilettes for a while in my tweens and early teens. Then, at some point, I was done with all the bottles and boxes in my beautycase and the shelves I stored them on so I started using them (normally). Took some years, but I finished basically all the bottles. The ones I liked the least tended to be gifts I couldn't test before I got them. Anyway, a lot of these scents were past their expiration date but because I stored them in the dark and as cool as I could manage I could use them years past their technical expiration date. With the scent more or less fully in tact. I now have like 3 or 4 I regularly use. I want to replace one of 'm but I think it's no longer being sold so I need to go find a dupe somewhere. Dupes tend to be cheaper anyway and I'm setting my eyes toward oil based instead of alcohol based to the scent sticks around for longer. In short, don't store new or (nearly/pretty) full bottles in light and warm environments unless you don't want to use them anymore as it shortens the shelf life of the scents. A perfume fridge (or designated are in your regular fridge) for your faves can also extend the shelf life of the scent. The expiration date is just the date where you can no longer expect the scent to smell the way it did new.
Close 😂🎉

Im impressed with your power of will 🙌
I used to be something of a fragrance collector starting in my mid-20s in the early 2000s. My parents always liked wearing fragrances. Mom loved Robert Piguet's Fracas and Chanel No. 5 and dad wore all the nuclear men's colognes from the '70s and '80s. It was a fun hobby for me because you could get a pretty good feel for what was out there based on the variety sold in stores, forums like Basenotes (this was years before Fragrantica was founded), and most things were at least somewhat affordable. Now there are hundreds of brands being sold at insane prices and no normal person can really try even a fraction of what is out there. I've officially checked out as a collector. I have the things that I like and only very rarely make new purchases if something sounds particularly unique or interesting. But again, otherwise I'm done with it.
Love to perfumes is a great thing, but only when it's a healthy and thoughtful purchases 💖
I bought a rasasi hawas ice on Thursday. It was i don't even know. It's so bad, not to mention that it's expensive. Atleast it was my 2nd cologne and I'm stopping. My 1st one was a Boss bottled elixir i bought last month Atleast that one i physically walked into a shop and bought it and i absolutely love it. I'm done with TH-cam influencers...Atleast i wasted R1275.00😢
I never tried rasasi but it's Definitely not something I would even like to try😑😑😑 no matter what they say
Great video
Thank you 🤗
You go girl. It's been getting on my nerves. Why these influencers are encouraging viewers to build a collection of 100, 300 fragrances. Or even worse. A youtube fragrance influencer with over 400 bottles say that they want to buy a fragrance that they had just smelled on a friend at a gathering a few days ago 😮. Am like what the heck is this? Never satisfied?
It's like a real addiction when you smell something once, buying it right away and never wear it again.... If you have over 400 perfumes it's even impossible to use all just one time in a year. And the problem is that real wearing expirience comes though time and seasons🤦🏼♀️
@@YourScentBae I commend you.👏👏👏 It takes a lot for one to stand up against this outbreak. You try to fill a void but that void never gets filled. So on the circle goes. 😔

love bianco latte - I don't normally like vanilla either but this one is a must have, made me like vanilla perfumes! I had to stop myself buying any other perfumes this year, I chose 4 perfumes. and will buy 1 last one next year for my 40th. After that I plan a no buy as I have 50-60 fragrances already including travel sized. (but not including dupes)
For me tooooo! After Bianco Latte I bought around 20 other vanillas😅 till now I haven't bought any new bottle, Im super chill about it right now all thought I have around 100 on my wishlist
It’s august, but I’m already searching for spooky perfumes, I love this, very creative and helpful!🩷🩷🩷🩷

I'm sorry but I work for a private label bakery that basically clones name brand crackers and cookies because not everyone can afford a 3 dollar box of Keebler honey grahams or the original Ritz or Zesta saltines and yes some people are addicted to fragrances just like fishing tackle, hot wheels, barbie dolls stanley mugs etc.and knockoffs are nothing new everything goes through cycles and right now clones are the big thing and when well known perfumers are now working with clone houses take for example Fanny Bal working with lattafa to make Asad Zanzibar the train is leaving the station and it's either climb on board or watch it go by but don't blink because it's not slowing down. Now I don't like when a dupe is made that looks exactly like the real version but if I can get a 30 dollar bottle of a 300+ dollar original and have people tell me how good I smell because the majority of people don't have a clue what Bvlgari Tygar is or smells like and the reaction to finding out how much it costs but I have to reassure them that I didn't purchase the real one I'm no longer looked at for being stupid enough to pay that much and show them that I'm wearing Rue Broca Theoreme that I paid 22 dollars for they're only concerned about if I smell good or not and I watch a few different reviewers to gain knowledge about fragrances and if they mention one I am interested in I search for the best deal instead of the link in the description
the top 10 panty dropper recycles are priceless.

She is crazy but I am sick and tired of cancel culture. Isn't it interesting the same people don't put the same energy into canceling Kayali who basically wants to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
I’m not done with the video , but I want to thank you for covering this. The hair color thing is straight up racist phrenology packaged in thinly veiled racist phrenology. I want to thank you for showing all this stuff in a serious light , a lot of other yt creators have had a more goofy reaction approach- I get it , it’s like making fun of ancient aliens , but her rhetoric and ideologies are far more nefarious, and it’s truly not funny some of the shit she is saying .
Thank you for your feedback 🤗 to be honest, I had to film this video two times, first attempt I couldn't post because I had goosebumps, she's so disturbing that I couldn't watch her video and had this feeling that you get by knowing there's something bad, if you know what I mean. Im not joking about that, but I wanted to make it more fun instead of full depression mode. She has something deeply damaged about her personality, those ideas are Sick
Yt is a racist dogwhistle against white people.
@@PolaBeaver loooool this is so hilarious
@@PolaBeaver hmm for some reason I see your comment about Israel but I can't answer on it, I have theory that TH-cam blocked it (if you haven't deleted). I don't know what is the situation with kayali, can you please tell more? Also, I don't understand what is this about Stepan Bandera? This person lived like almost century ago (exaggerating but I mean metaphorically)
@@PolaBeaver nope. I’ve never purchased from either of those brands . Deflection is such a white nationalist tactic … can you explain how that has anything to do with the actions and statements of the woman in this video ?
My favorite perfume has long been discontinued. I started getting samples to figure out what I like. Now I have 3 perfumes (3oz size) that I rotate through that I store in one small plastic box in the corner of my closet.

Hi ı stopped my perfume and makeup addiction and just have what ı need. A signature fragrance and basic makeup ı use daily and when ı choose them ı am not influenced by social media and now ı find this over consumption over whelming. I always tried to buy ‘vibe’ or ‘aesthetic’ or even personality when ı bought the products. But now ı am into the Disney collector dolls(ı really loved disney as a kid) ı know having dolls wont change who ı am or wont buy me happiness and ı am not influenced but ı am still wondering having a collection can be a dangerous thing like ı struggled like before? Thx if you answer this
Hello dear ❤️ thank you for your feedback 🤗 the most important is if you love what you're doing and if that brings you happiness without making you broke by purchasing of this things. I always ask myself "if I will have to leave everything right now, will that be that much important?" Once I had to do this and all I learned - nothing in this physical world can make you happy if you are not happy with yourself. You are the only source of the best emotions that you can receive. Btw Im slowly collecting Sylvanians families and perfume miniatures, love everything tiny from my very childhood ☺️
@@YourScentBae yes, you are right. We shouldnt be addicted to objects. And you are adorable by the way😍
@@user-qo5fo2vx2b thank you dear 🤗
While I do think there's definitely something to be said about influencers and content creators pushing things for profit in the ways they do, I think we have to be much more focused on the personal responsibility that we all have to ourselves as adults which is where the vast majority of the accountability lies. These influencers can push as aggressively as they want to. But at the end of the day, no one has a gun to my head forcing me to buy anything so I simply don't. Especially if I haven't sampled it for myself, or worse, I can't afford it. And in the case of those who are suffering from varying forms of addiction, unfortunately the entire world simply cannot cater to that. Alcoholics exist and if they're intent on improving their life for their sake, they must make the decision to either find ways to engage with alcohol responsibly or just quit drinking it altogether if that's what it takes. It's easier said than done of course, but those really are the only options. But ultimately alcohol will never stop being sold. It's up to each individual adult to use it responsibly. Bakeries and fast food restaurants aren't shutting down for the sake of those with sugar and food addictions. Fragrance consumption is no different. I truly don't mean to sound insensitive and I do apologize in advance if this comment is read that way, but influencers aren't the root of this issue in my opinion. They might be the branches and the flowers of the hyper capitalist and consumerist tree, but they're not the root. Many people who find themselves in the midst of shopping addiction are usually struggling with other unresolved issues. Grief, stress, depression, and anxiety are just a few that are capable of putting people in a place where they may seek out things like shopping for the instant dopamine hit that their brains may be struggling to create organically. If we all woke up tomorrow and influencers no longer existed, I guarantee those people would still be buying compulsively and spending irresponsibly to their detriment because the root of the issue hasn't been resolved. I think videos like this are great in helping those struggling to see that they're not alone and what they're going through isn't normal/should be changed. However, I do think it's important that the focus be largely on us as consumers and what we can and should be doing differently to be more responsible because ultimately we can only control our own behaviors. And I feel like being more responsible involves those people buying less period, not necessarily buying niche fragrances like you seem to be suggesting...? So I was kind of lost at that sentiment seemingly being the conclusion of your video honestly.
I have no social media so I have no idea what these influencers are saying lol when I want a fragrance I think of the notes first and see what fragantica gives me. THEN I’ll TH-cam and see what people say to get an idea of how it smells. I try to limit my scents by categories ie enough variety for day/night and for my nose (too much of the same scent and you’ll go noseblind lest you take a long break from perfumes). I’ve got less than 10 bottles so I’m good lol I’ll likely try to end my “collection” there. Hope these suggestions are helpful for someone. I apply the same rule to everything else to prevent obsessive shopping
You're doing this a great way🤗
youtube suggest me this after watching that social simon. Algo is clever
I dont trust influencers, i remember i commented on youtuber telling her that she is telling lies. She was describing a dupe for Narciso Rodriguez musc noir rose, she actually lying saying that they are identical hahhaha i have both perfumes and they have nothing in common except the packaging. I told her u are a liar and i unsubscribe you are pushing ur loyal followers to waste their money. But u missed something, why aren't u talking abut the crazy prices those designer and niche brands are charging us!!! u are right about overconsumption but i find u more upset about niche brands and their business!! I also prefer niche brands but with the high prices I decided to take a step back and try other affordable brand that offers similar quality if not better, and by the way!
In most cases niche is that expensive because its a small manufacturing, the bigger production is going the lower is the price pro piece
If you are going broke because you have no self control then that's your fault and not the influencers fault imo. While I do agree some of the titles of the videos are ridiculous "Top panty droppers" or "Make you look more attractive to her" etc.. you should at least sample first in a store or online and wear it for a couple weeks to see if it works for you. No fragrances can make you look sexier or more attractive, richer etc...that's just ridiculous.... but it can enhance your outfit or make you feel great which can make you look more attractive. You have to have a personality, good communication skills and dress sense in the first place. At the end of the day, no one complains when Nike or adidas advertise their clothing line or trainers so it's up to the consumer to be more responsible with their purchases
@@Snedz496 the entire point is that Adidas make it official commercial and the "influencers" paying relatable girl/boy from the neighbourhood to gain trust and represent pr perfumes as haul. I don't think it's honest
@@YourScentBae I wasn't disagreeing with you entirely, I was just making the point that bigger companies do pay celebrities to advertise their brands however I do agree with you that there is some (not all) influencers that hype a fragrance up they got sent to them. At the end of the day, you should always test out a fragrance for a full week to see if it suits you and works with your skin chemistry not blind buy things based on their recommendations. Just wear what fragrance you like with confidence
@@Snedz496 sure, I got your point, just wish people that we trust here would be more transparent with their sponsorships and would not say that every single fragrance they try is amazing, sounds very fake. Not everyone is like this but many.
@@YourScentBae I agree with that. Best thing anyone can do is unsubscribe and just go on their own fragrance journey without having an external influence. Works for me
Invest your money in property, mutual funds, even bitcoin - you’ll be happy you did in the future
True
I don’t know what hurts more my perfume hoarding brokenness or your accent but yeah most influencers are just doing their job for money….obviously
Oh well you can always go cry in the corner because every single person in the world have some kind of accent
@@YourScentBae 😂
You won't be able to have a signature scent if you wear too many perfume. Also i started buying the smaller bottles because 30ml is a lot tbh. And... the best thing is my natural scent out of the shower with deodorant. Smelling like nothing is the sexiest thing to me
It's very individual, btw I know at least 50 different perfumes that can prolonged the feeling of freshly washed skin, it's kinda fun
So true ive been saying all this in the comments on there videos daily for years and they never clap back lol im succeptible to falling for there lies because im really fussy with fragrances and i have an addictive personality so i have over 1000 dollars in samples i didnt even like lol im a guy so i get all my reccomendations from gents scents, chaos fragrances, curly fragrances, jeremy fragrance etc, bunch of sellouts for sure
I think Im quite close to same $$ amount with samples, make even more ... In full bottles which I blind bought Im scared to calculate. But at least 30 bottles I decluttered because I didn't liked them at all but influencers were praising them
People need to stop with these BS videos about influencers influencing people. They’re influencers right? When you go to buy a car or just look around the car salesman is to influence you to buy a car right? This includes: houses, clothes, shoes, hair, appliances, etc…there will always be influencers so get over it, and take accountability for your own actions, and stop blaming other people for your actions. People can suggest that you’re jealous b/c you have a small channel, and don’t receive PR. You’re making a video about influencers lying about perfume, and influencing people to buy perfume they don’t need…..so what are you doing? You’re influencing people to not get into this addictive behavior, so you’re influencing right? Whether it’s good or bad it’s still influencing someone. People please hold yourself accountable for your own actions and get help if you need it!!!!!!
Wait a minute, so you think that raising awareness of people to not fall for addictive and destructive behaviour is same as trying to get money from their pockets and make them broke? Lol, that's quite delusional P.S.: people can suggest whatever they want, I can't care less. Read the comments where people say what they really think about this situation
@@YourScentBae I think raising awareness about all things is wonderful, but take accountability for your own actions. For, you to call someone delusional for their own opinion shows exactly what kind of person you really are…..I’m quite sure if you were getting PR products your story will be DIFFERENT PERIOD!!! NO NEED TO REPLY have good day and BYE!!!!!!

@@YourScentBae Lets just close all bars and clubs too since they can "influence" alcoholism or close casinos because they "influence" you to gamble away your money etc... see where I'm going with this? If you have an addiction or an addictive personality (for anything) then you may need to seek some professional help if it's having that much of an influence over your life imo
@@Snedz496 well, in some countries it's prohibited by law so I don't think that you've chosen fair comparison
This used to be me with makeup subscription boxes and makeup/sephora/ulta. I also consider myself a perfume head, but the perfume collectio never got out of control because it's just too expensive. I have maybe 20 right now, a few are still in the boxes. Just yesterday, talk about timing, I got an ad on Amazon for Flowerbomb and noticed that the prices had increased quite a bit. I always thought it was an overpriced perfume(i love it, don't get me wrong) but just thought it was too pricey. I have one 1oz bottle that I got with a Sephora Sampler, but I definitely will not be buying a new one once that one runs out. Anyway, i totally understand how you can get to this point. If it hadn't been for the pandemic, I probably would still be buying tons of makeup. I have sold a ton of my collections off. I still have some more collectible makeup that I'm getting ready to sell(of course, stuff that I never even used). Everything is too expensive now. Im using what I have from my makeup and fragrance and not buying anything I dont absolutely need or have to have. I will say this, I tried some of the Good Chemistry perfumes at Target and I really liked two of them, so I may purchase the one I cant stop thinking about, but it's very affordable. Good luck to you, being self aware and deciding to make changes is the first step to overcoming these shopping addictions!
