Any internal valve or transfer port modifications?
Hello George, thank you for watching. You can find all the details of this unit in my video titled "Crosman HPA 2240" from 7 months back. I accidently left out the port sizes, so here they are: Valve .170", TP .177", Barrel .165". Other notes: widened, polished, exhaust channel. 20% weaker valve spring, Disco poppet.
I can appreciate your build. Reminds me of when we were first putting bottles on air rifles. Oh, and the MRD seem to be a great combo with Bertha. We at Predator/JSB approve.
Thanks Joe, love those JSB's!
Totally Awesome, she hits hard. I bet it would be devastating on small game. Cheers!
Thank you Hank!
Where did you get the bottle adapter?
Hello Matthew, thanks for watching. The 2240 drop block is from Froggys Air gun Parts, approx. $65.00
@@BriceP.O.I. which tanks work? No mention of thread size on the site
@@matthewrezuke8130 The threads on the drop block are really meant for the use of a regulator, those threads are G 1/2- 14. When you buy the reg. and the bottle, make sure they're both the same size either: M18x1.5 or 5/8x18. Most of mine are M18x1.5
"Keep on putting on the hits" Group looked awesome to me. I mean what are talking about dispatching to where that wouldnt be good enough? Cheers!
A marauder stock barrel and h@n field target trophy copper can get you in the dime size group. At 50 yrd 💯😉👍✌️ from my experience building Crossman conversion
Cheers family. 2.1 isn't bad at all at that distance. Always great hanging out, what a looker she is!
Thank you very much Hank. I need to anchor down the shooting table, possibly found a solution.
It did good , I think your sweet spot is gonna be around 850-880 depending on pellet, the side drift wind 4sure - sweet build
Thanks BYD. I do think 880 would do well, also stabilizing the shooting table, going to try some more wood and clamps to anchor it down. Trying to get rid of the side-side movement.
@@BriceP.O.I. I think it will tighten up it shoot like mine and mine does this stuff when I am tuning it
Your currect it should because pellets tend to destabilize around 900 and up because of design of them slugs have a very small tight window and can be difficult to tune because of how tight the fps are. 💯👍✌️@BackyardDispatcher
@@josephsaucedo8691 how you been brother? Brice has the eye for making some nice customs I am always impressed with what he has show off.
@BackyardDispatcher graet thank for asking and your self? Hope everything go just as great. I agree with you not to offend anyone. I say he is one of the few that does have a good representation of a 2240 conversion and they do perform. Even though some of the aftermarket parts used haven't had the best performance reputation. I know that some slight changes can make any of his builds a real power house . The do nicely from my experience they do tend to be a little more difficult as perform increases the benefit is the amount of knock down power and the ability to use a lot heavier round onec dield in tend to also help with bc and stability in slugs mainly longer distances. For pellets it he already got enough would doubt they my need to be heavier grain. They tend to be difficult to get in high grains in some brands jsb one of the few brand that offer really heavy grain in the pellets. If looking to hunt and change to small big bore marauder what the next build id suggest very similar to 22xx designs slightly different not by a hole lot also many options just like what he has now but the can be more tactical looking if you like that look as I do my self.💯👍✌️🫡
Looks beautiful. Be careful with that camo wrap though. My father-in-law had a Crosman Storm XT with that wrap on it. It was exposed to humidity and the wrap held moisture, causing the barrel to rust. He didn't even notice till unwrapping it. Just a warning to make sure you don't store it where there is high humidity or take it out in the rain.
Thanks SA! Concerning the camo tape, thank you for the warning. All my babies (air guns) are treated very well and are kept in a conditioned air environment and are never used in the rain. But here in NC the summer humidity is off the charts, so it's not at all perfect.
@BriceP.O.I. Just looking out for a fellow airgunner. It took forever to remove that dang rust. Nice accuracy with that Crosman btw!!! 👍
On the intake side you can go as far as you can. On the valve exhaust and port you can go just under the sizes of what ever caliber size being used anymore you will be wasting air. From what I understand 💯✌️👌🫡😉
I used to think "air, air, and more air" but I've come to my senses.
@BriceP.O.I. ya there a is a point of no diminishing return with air guns and how far you can modify it. After some much there no point . It limited out took me awhile to realize it more of a balance and combination of thing are going to be your best results I also had some help I talk to a few people that enginer and design also machine airguns parts wich helps. My comment was based on what I was told when I ask the question how far can I go before iv went to far💯🫡✌️👌👍😉
Who can we go to buy the gun from and have them do the modification work
What are the foot pounds of energy
25.39 grains @ 915 fps = 47.20 ft/lbs

Awesome build family. WoW!
Nice job! I have the avenge x and the avenger bullpup. I took the bullpup apart to polish the bolt, the probe and the inside of the breach where they slide. It made it very very smooth, but that plastic cover is an absolute pain to remove from the breach/receiver block.
Thanks KVR, I'm glad you like the video. I never did get to experience the satisfaction and the joy of removing the plastic cover as you have done.😆 I will probably take this rifle apart one more time for a barrel mod, maybe even polish the bolt and breach as you suggest. Take care, and thanks again.
Sweet rig
Thanks Doug!
Happy 4th family. Groups looking pretty tight! Thanks for the mention, yeah I jus keep a dime at the end of the range. Would always be looking for it if not lol. Cheers!
Thank you Hank, hope you had a happy 4th as well. This unit has always had great 23yd groups but for some reason I put it off to the side. I think it deserves a bit of attention. 😉👍
very nice build Brice and groups are killer
Thank you BYD! As you know, the LW barrel is supreme. I think I could wring a bit more out of this unit. Up to 18gr, or down to 13.43? Probably both.
Thanks BYD, I'm still searching for that perfect pellet. Thinking I might step it up to the JSB 8.44 4.53's.
the perfect pellet is a myth to get you to spend money . I feel you , the other day I was plinking and I was like what the heck is wrong with this gun or these pellets , turns out my dumbass loaded everyone of them in backwords lol and the two that did good must been by chance
@@BackyardDispatcher That happens sometimes when I don't put on my glasses.😆👍

Good work i enjoy your channel and builds
Thanks Michael, I'm happy to hear that. There's plenty to do, I shouldn't run out of ideas for a while.
Is that a froggy conv.
Yes, 2260 safepac. If I could do it again, I would get a Disco valve top, HPA fill adapter, and a Lane regulator. Nothing against Froggy's parts, I have many, it just would've been a more appropriate setup for this rifle.
very nice vid brother
Thanks brother BYD. Too bad the results weren't better. This barrel seems to be limited to 4.52's so far. I'll keep at it.
I can rem shootn when I had it , you did good , get well brother
long range for me is 50 yards too , very nice work
you got a good build

@@BriceP.O.I. you don't hold back on your builds that's for sure.
@@BackyardDispatcher
That barrel choked? I am always impressed with your builds , liked shared and saved , where you getting your tank valves Brice?
Thanks BYD! Tank valves I get on Ebay, if I need one quickly, Amazon. I have all the belleville washers to adjust them if I need to. The Avenge x 177 isn't choked, but it's a snug bore, doesn't allow the pellet to fumble around. Not like the Avenger barrel, huge heavy choke. I have another X barrel in .22, haven't got the specs on it yet.
Nice looking setup !
Thank you TG, glad you like it!
Awesome!
Sounds great!
Thanks Hank.
Very nice build !
Thanks RF! I value your opinion.
Cool rig and nice shooting!😊
I appreciate that SG, thank you!
Looks great to me but i know what you mean family! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Hank.
Very cool built. I have 30 inch Barrel, steel breech, Froggy Safe Pack, tapped Boss Valve, 4mm transfer port, 4mm barrel hole diameter, very hard cocking spring i cock it with a pin that is screwed in the hammer and goes through my power adjustment screw, a 1.5mm teflon sealing for the valve pin, 4500 psi 0.3l tank at 2650-2700 psi, H&N heavy slug .217 40grain and it shoots 248 m/s stable 77joule
Wow, what you're describing is nary an air gun, but a monster! I have also used a straight pull cocking rod method on my 362, through the rear cap. It would be nice to see that one sometime. Thanks for the good word Spence.
Have you got an e-mail Adress, i can provide you some pictures and a Video If you interested
Can i contact you somehow, then i can Show you :)
@@BriceP.O.I. Yes it was a long way to that, but honestly i have hoped for even more power, but cocking is on a level of strength that i can barely do with two fingers and also the safepac and the brass valve are under overpressure, safepac is rated for 2400psi. I don´t know what kind of valve stem/pin you have but i can recommend trobb from uk, he has a detachable valve stem where you can unscrew the sealing part and change the seals, but then you buy 1.5mm teflon sheet from chinese wareh. and stamp out custom sealings 8mm OD and 3.5mm ID and use this as sealings with a little bit silicone grease and you will have extreme sturdy seal that withstands this extreme high pressure much longer. Also use the safe pack instead of the drop down asa as it gives you much more volume. I experimented with weaker valve springs also but makes no difference at this power levels.
@@SpencerGaming7580 I try to keep my builds within certain limits, keep the original concepts. I use Disco poppets, Drilled out transfer ports, light valve springs, hammer springs no greater than .042", etc. Maybe someday I'll go for max power by any means. I have a few more to build before I can start that project.
I was wondering where youn found the lighter valve spring?
The stock valve spring is 1.0" in length, .38" OD, .265 ID, and wire diameter is .054". I'm pretty sure I used a .031" wire dia. spring, with the other dimensions being close to original. I searched amzn to find a kit with the closest measurements. If you have it disassembled, check to see if you can use a spring with an ID smaller than .265, then you will have many options. Try the Keadic kits.
I would like to do that to my 2240 if you can show me how part by part and if you make parts for these airgun would li,e to buy some from you
From Philippines sir'
I think my 2400kt is pretty close to your sweet build

@@BriceP.O.I. I'm gonna get some this week , how you like them so far?
@@BackyardDispatcher To date, I've had great accuracy with the Baracuda 10.65 4.52 in all of my 177's. But I have some new Baracuda Match 10.65's in 4.50 and have not had the tight groups. I need to try'em in a choked barrel to give you good info. Previous sessions have been in a light-to-no choke barrel.
Hey Brice! Awesome shooting, beatiful air rifle you have there, cant wait to see the 2260. Cheers!
Thanks Hank, appreciate the comments. I value your opinion.
Go to 50 or 75 yards out that when you will see a big difference the group pattern will be bigger definitely show at a further distance with hpa💯👍✌️
I get pretty much get the same results with my dropblocked 2400kt . premier hollowpoint stack works.
very good info video BricePOI. the 2240 runs around 450- 470 , those numbers refect what barrel length gives you, I just dropped blocked a 2400kt using hpa bottle but with a standared paintball 900psi valve and it moved the stock fps from 557 to about 630 , you will find a lot of these parts can be swapped out, your 2260 is capable of being made hpa for pretty cheap
Thanks BYD, yes, lots of things can be done. I'm doing the valve right now as we speak, and there will be a surprise coming with this one. This could be the last one sold by Crosman, they found a few of them in their warehouse that they didn't know existed from 2021. Bought it in February, then they listed as no longer available. All alterations will be easily reversible.
A steel breech is a must. Buy a spare screw (the tiny ass one under the bolt i bought the flat head instead of hex, glad i did) then a grav mag ( 3d printed magazine available online )
Nice gun an mods dude . I just got the avenger 25 cal with the green laminate stock , really like it so far . Kind of wish i had just went the cheap route an got the regular stock then modded it with the buck rail tactical stock setup . But anyways , as you know you can dump alot of money in a hurry on this hobby . lol
Glad you like it TG. Yeah, you could've went many directions on yours, the green laminate is a nice choice, a solid base for the action and barrel. All are good choices. Thanks
Wow super nice...how many price please
Hello KK, I won't count the Donnyfl moderator because I can use it for other air guns. All in all probably 900 U$ over a 4yr period. I could've done without many of the upgrades and still had a gem. Really only the Donnyfl barrel centering adaptor, moderator, regulator upgrade, and scope are essential.
