Hey. How's it going? I'm Bria, born in Louisiana raised in Texas, I've finally taken the leap and started this channel after years of hesitating and talking myself out of it. I love to travel and am currently living a somewhat nomadic lifestyle, the journey has been long and winding, and half the time I don't know what I'm doing or where I'm going. Thanks for being along for the ride!
Visiting Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe bend for the first time.
The only thing in all of Utah that was on my bucket list was Antelope Canyon, I almost couldn't believe I was experiencing it in real life. My lil hat ended up being quite the life saving, for anyone wanting to go, sand can and does fall from the top down. Also I have to say again that I'm glad I didn't bring my mirrorless camera, you only had so much time to take shots before people would turn a corner and ruin the shot. If I had my camera I would have spent too much time fiddling with it.

Come see where I work | My seasonal job near Zion National Park

I'm still very much adjusting to life in the desert, my new job, and my employee housing. I've been feeling very overwhelmed lately, and I've been missing the comfortable familiarity of Montana and my friends there. I think my new job is great and is definitely worth embracing. I think my small break from seasonal work made me forget how jarring it can be to start a new job and try to insert yourself into a new environment and work culture. I was very unsure of myself at first, but I think I'm starting to feel better about things......

I'm not eager to repeat this journey at all, it took a lot out of me, though it was a beautiful drive. I've been getting settled into seasonal housing and trying to get a grasp on my new job and property. With that said I'm behind on videos so if you want real-time updates... I just accepted my first seasonal job in Alaska for the summer 2025!
I went there last month including Lake Powell. All three were beautiful ❤️ Are you still at the seasonal job in Utah?
We're actually wrapping up the season, the camp closes for winter. I'm headed back home in a few days
Looks good! Do they not provide housing for you?
They do, its off property, 20-30 min away
Hey Bria, your videos are so entertaining, love your energy too :>
Which lodge in zion are you working at just wondering
It's a glamping site about 30 min away from Zion, it's called Under canvas
I always see people doing these hikes on youtube and it almost makes me want to leave my couch to go and do one.
Future Bria for the win again 😁💪🏽
@@reggieb3409 😉 🤣
Outstanding episode, trail looks just stunning my friend!
Awesome ❤
So amazing that you went by yourself ! That was a beautiful hike
Great job
You go, girl!! 🎉I've done the overnight mule ride alone to the the bottom of the Grand Canyon years ago. It was an awesome experience for me✨️✨️✨️
Whoa!! that sounds like sooo much fun, good on you.
Great video! 💛💛💛
Loved this video! I hate driving so looking forward to driverless cars.
Awesome, PHOENIX is pretty cool, you deserve to have fun. Your amazing Bria. Are you still in Moab UT?? It has been a min since I have not been on youtube a few weeks, got to catch up.
@kmc1steelers998 technically, I'm like 30 min outside of zion. Moab is a little farther north than me. 🙂
“Bria of the future” 😂😂
@@reggieb3409 😁
It would seem like, unless you have a lease at home, with housing expense covered, I could save money even at a lower wage. Concerning wages, I have no regard for the opinion of law makers. In my life, minimum wage is $17/hr.
I do as well 😂and I love it. Purple 🟣 🍠 are amazing 😍 . How have you been?
I've had SEVERAL of these sweet potatoes since!!! I'll be honest ya gurl tires, with a capital T. My manager has been on a two week vacation, which has meant some VERY long hours recently. 😞
Yesss, I was confused too! It’s one of my fav snacks now 😋
@@jahkirajakes yes!!! I need another one asap 😆
Yes to all of that. Walmart has never been the same since the dad passed. Downhill ever since.
Bria, they definitely scammed you. They see "transplant", they see a different license plate and they take their opportunity.
Yeah, I know now, after talking to some people. There's no way I went like 9 months with no cabin air filter.
I hate there’s no jolibee here in Georgia 😭
YOOOO. Listen, the first opportunity you get you have to try it.SOO worth it.
Do they do drug test?
Heading there from New Orleans man I just hope they not racist 😔
I experienced that heavy in AZ, unfortunately & WY! In AZ, I was literally the only POC working in the entire resort & saw maybe one POC the entire season of me working there for 9 months! When my brother visited me for my bday weekend to surprise me, we went out to eat. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked into the restaurant, we were met with nasty stares & ppl looking at us like it was 1950! We decided to leave because I definitely wasn't staying there to eat!🤦♀️
Is it hard to apply/get a gig? I know applying for real jobs takes forever and I won't have tthe time to wait forever in between job. Thanks
It's not hard per se, but even if you think it's too early to apply if the job is posted go ahead and apply. Not only are they use to hiring in advance for the upcoming season, it can also take time to hear back from places.
I am so happy and grateful now that I am working at the ymca.
Happy to hear that!!
I don’t see why. I can’t wait to leave this racist town
That's such a cool amazing job girl❤
I've never heard of hold fees, wth!
Are you near Moab? I drove through it so many times due to visiting my parents way out there. I love living in Utah but im up north. ❤
Our local walmart got new carts and remodeling done in the whole inside. But ya before it was looking so awful.
I'm so mad my sister told me her walmart has mini carts and im seriously jealous. Also, mine got remodled and now it doesn't look half bad. 😅
Ouch, i had one before long ago as well. 😮im glad you got it fixed. And our health care sysem is to expensive, i agree.
It's hot even up here in north Utah! I can't wait for fall🧡🧡🧡I'm glad the bugs are gone, ugh. So nice to see you Bria😊
👋 yeah, the heat is no joke!!!
Arrive in August !
I love that place. You'll be there for rut season, have fun!!!!
Lmao that James Brown insert took me out! 🤣🤣😹😹. Also, looked like yall had fun tubing! ~Chyl my room is in a basement( but not). The house is designed funny lol but there's gaps where the wall meets the carpet. When I tell you, I put diatomaceous earth and toilet tissue down! I dont want no sick looking bugs coming from up under there 😫😫🥴. In TN we have to worry about centipedes! Ugh
My goodness, baby I'll take the ants any day over dem centipedes. That's nightmare fuel.
@@bri_nicolex Same! 🥴🥴😭 lol
Hello im trying to get into seasonal work and want to start for the fall season. Do you have any tips or experience to work for the fall?
Well, keep in mind most places are going to be either hiring for the remainder of their summer season, which means you'll only be working until like November. Or hiring for the start of their winter season like ski resorts. There are exceptions like the YMCA of the rockies that's a seaonal place open year round. Only advice I can think of is to apply early, be yourself, be willing to learn and somewhat excited to explore the area.
Feel free to DM on instagram if you want to chat more. @bri_nicolex
That should reimburse you your money back for the inconvenience.
You look good 👍🏾
Australia’s little cousin 😂😂 glad you found that bug spray 💪🏽
Me too hun, me too 😆
That truly SUCKS. My son was at the worldmark resort ⛵ by Wyndham. I must say the living arrangements as far as the rooms were really nice for employees. No air issue , but WATER 💦. Problems that exist throughout MOAB Utah. They do have some ants but are minimal. My son n room mate kept bug spray, the mosquitos are wicked as well out in Utah. Wowww wishing you luck..I'll be visiting my son in Avon Colorado. Will you be leaving Utah and working in Phoenix? That's awesome if you are , good luck out there , have a blast. I have a friend in Phoenix. I will hit them up with questions and let you know.
I wish America was like the United Kingdom and offer free healthcare to all.
You and me both 😔
Thanks for sharing!
That's good to take care of your mental health, especially in tourism work. My son is in VAIL Colorado /Vail Resorts, and he stated he knows deep down with things not being organized , and rude management, and watching managers go at it with each other. That this is not going to last til October for him. He decided that he will go full time with his now part time job within this week. They offer better pay , better incentives , and they offer housing as well. It really is a win win for him, and I am happy he made the best decision for him, especially when you know the job is not a good fit. Why wait. He did not give them a 2 week notice. He said staff there feel absolutely disposable. He has been there 2 months and met really nice people employees there though. Bad management will run off good workers.
Omg! Everything you said is sooo true! I experienced the same exact thing! Im sorry your son went thru all of that, but I'm so glad he's somewhere that he likes now!
wtffff that clown story cannot be real!!! im dying at how that convo turned out lmao so weird! also social media is all fake for sure plus if it helps ur motivating me to get out of a huge depression pit hehe so its all relative and ur doing amazing sweetie!
The clown story had me gagged, I was like this lady has to be messing with me. Thanks for your lovely comment. 😊
Ive stopped a while back, they are rude. There is always something going on. The produce is picked all over. I go to Kroger now
I hate going to Wal-Mart... I probably go there 2/3 times a year
I have not been to Walmart in like 15 years.
For a nice place to shop, go to Costco. Walmart does not deserve anyone's money. Period.
I've always been an online shopper... But after covid-19, I gave in store shopping up completely for my grocery & personal needs and for some of my clothing etc...Personally warehouse shopping isn't my thing...Plus Target, Amazon, most designer's & department stores has me so spoiled with my online shopping
