Your knowledge is true about the RPM. Car will be shifting gears slowly if it has higher RPM and yes Turbos feels unbalanced but there is this weird phenomenon I noticed while using turbo in touges that you slip less and cut a lot of track with it but you'll slip without the turbo. Also, turbo slightly gives a better exit speed from corners cuz of its acceleration but that's not noticeable. I don't have any explanation right now about why turbo forgives corner cutting but I guess it must be due to the acceleration or added weight or maybe it only works for tge modded maps.
try hack the rpm limit to whatever above the original, you will notice that the speed/accel doesnt effect at all, even if you try to change the rpm to zero

@@double1449 off course it won't change cuz speed and acceleration depends on the HP and Tires (and also suspension too). Higher RPM just distributes the speed limites among 5 gears evenly and maintains the gear ratio. Idk what happens with a different tune but it must have different gear ratio resulting in different shifting points. And now which is beneficial while cornering than I would say it doesn't matter. If you carry as much as RPM you can while going in and out of the corner, you will be faster.
