I enjoy the eldar in multiplayer with a team mate not a fan of them solo though

there was definetely faster ways to win but i enjoy the slow build up style. i did love the way in which your base was waiting for you though

infinite enemy spawn feels like a real cheat mechanic for the AI. made some of them more challenging for sure

I use a camera mod, makes life a lot easier

I wish I had mods back when I played.

i think i found this camera mod back on dark crusade. it really made a massive difference especially once i got into the larger mods

I really enjoyed that one. Harder then I planned though

The multiplayer has always been fun. Played a lot of it back in the day

Alpha Legion really gave the Raven Guard a rough time during the Heresy which in my mind is odd given the way the heresy writers seemed to spend a lot of time implying that Alpharius wasn't as committed to Chaos as we might expect.🦅🔥

I might do a campaign blitz with the Guard see how quick I can complete it

its a good mod but I have a custom mod I created a few years back that I use as its balanced to the way I like it

I love modded Dawn Of War, have a custom mod that I made by combining my fav elements from other mods included the AI mod which made everything so much more challenging.

i try to keep the commander alive just from a he is a hero and we should try, I enjoy the map generally just wish the guard could get the baneblade out easier just to increase the challenge

I certainly wouldn't want to fight them once they get stronger

The only occasion I know of in lore was in the grey knights novels when the sisters get tricked into thinking the grey knights were heretics. I like to think of this as similar where the sisters are sadly just caught in the way

that feels slightly cheaty, but its fun to do :)

I am tempted to do an Imperial Guard playthrough just to see how much I end up relying on tank spam. The lack of Morale is such a good thing for them agreed.

@@Niftyrat between flayed ones, wraiths, tomb sypders, pariahs, destroyers I basically run an almost entirely morale immune army if it wasn't for the lord

I do enjoy this map a lot, Stealth is just annoying if you dont have a spotter around and you know they are there but cant do anything about them. I never looked into the Tabletop rules for Necron destroyers to see if they were that weak in the game

if i am playing against a humie then aggression all the way. otherwise i love overwhelming them with force. theres something joyous in seeing all the warriors marching onwards

flayed ones are useful but i never really give them much thought, mostly because i was so used to playing as the imperium i rarely used close range

@@Niftyrat They are very useful! They hits hard, tanky, and drain morale super fast. Their only weakness is slow, but that can also mitigated by teleporting to and back from the base I usually combine them as front unit, while the necron warrior is shooting in the back. (as necron warrior hits harder in range).

no doubting there usefulness for wrecking ranged combat units especially something like a standard marine squad.

The reason i tend to avoid that is spending resources I can use better elsewhere but its certainly something i do often once i am resource rich.

I am trying to keep this playthrough purely vanilla and even though camera mods wouldnt change the play much it would make it easier to control more of the battle. The modding scene on Dark Crusade was amazing there was so many good mods made from new units to wholesale redoing of the way in which the game was balanced (and not forgetting the awesome AI mod)

its a fun one in multiplayer for sure

they always think they know best. we will show them they are wrong

been a joy, these games were so much fun to play.

been a while since i played the vanilla campaign most my time with the game is playing modded versions
