Useful combat tip - dodge all 'overhead' attacks, they're more or less designed to nearly 1 shot you if they land. The main enemies that have them are Maulers (the guys with the 2 handed chain axe) and Crushers (the ogryn with the giant ferrocrete mauls). For Beserkers, there are a few attacks you might be able to parry, but dodging and guarding are probably your best bet as their windows for favorable melee exchanges are small.

You should get another curio with +1 wound, it gives you another chance to get downed without perma dying and saves you from dying instantly if you have picked up grimoires or fought something that corrupts.

just going to drop some lore about why red dot sights are not a thing real quick. that bolt pistol you are using is dark age technology.. the person who invented that made it to be something like a rivet gun for putting up walls. its a tool not a gun.. dark age technology guns delete stars, and rip open portals in space and time. people in 40k are pretty much medieval people who adapted work tools for war, they dont know how to make red dots, they pretty much just copy blueprints they find from the dark age of technology and all they have been able to find is pretty much tool schematics and mining suits (space marines armor). hope that helps explain why convicts condemned to die are scooped up by the inquisition and thrown as cannon fodder at chaos only armed with work tools.. we dont get the cool shit.

Fun tip Sir D. For the Human looking enemies with the helmets, the helmet is actually a higher armour rating (carapace) than their body (flak). If you run 25% damage to flak armoured enemies on your gun, and shoot them in the stomach you will MELT them vs shooting in the head.
