Hey guys! So this video is about my art portfolio that I submitted to art schools. I just wanted to share my work and explain why I included things in my portfolio. Hopefully my tips helped some of you guys. Let me know what you think :)

Wallows Concert, Nothing Happens Tour!!

Me and one of my best friends went to a Wallows concert back in February. It’s crazy to think how different life was just a month ago. Do not go to the University of Tampa. There is no sense of community on campus since we do not have a football team and sports in general on campus are not even a thing. No one goes to the stadium to get involved. Most students are lazy and only like to party from Thursday- to Sunday. There is no diversity at all (everyone is from the northeast, specifically Long Island and they are going to judge you if you are not from there) there are just a few organizations to be involved on campus. There are more frats and sororities than true organizations. The food is terrible and I am not picky at all. Food is not fresh and everyone tells you that is disgusting. The university does not have a good reputation within the city and it is worse across the country. It is maybe ranked number 500 in the nation and it is very costly for what they offer. DO NOT GO TO THE UNIVERSITY OF TAMPA. Going here was literally the WORST DECISION OF MY LIFE. You will probably be depressed if you come here.

The University of Tampa is the WORST university there. Such a pricy and bad university. I have friends that got in with a 3 GPA and 1000 SAT. Mid university. Just don't go there. If you go there, you will regret it.
The sound of the videos is not good
you getting into UF and FSU with a 1080 SAT score is giving me hopes as someone who got an 1120 haha I’m still in the middle of applying to them but I submitted my app to UCF :)

CONGRATS I just don’t understand why people say FSU is so hard like saying 4.4 GPA and 1440 SAT but people like me can get in with a 3.6 and 1200
you'd most likely get in for summer, fall requirements are way more rigorous.
I find out if I get into FSU tomorrow! I'm so nervous, I really really want to go there!!!

I really love your printmaking stuff. I fell in love with xylography and it’s been a shame that I haven’t been able to work on it more. I recommend you try it if you can, it’s really fun.
Thank you so much! I’ve never worked with wood or any type of xylography, but I really want to someday. I’ll definitely try it out.
Hi!! I’m hoping to get into FSU this year as class of 25 I’m not sure if my scores were too low but what are your scores and did you apply for CARE or as a normal student?
Girl me too, and I've been watching these videos trying to decipher the stats.
I just applied as a normal student. Honestly my scores weren’t the highest, so don’t let that discourage you. I got a 1080 on the SAT and my GPA was 3.6 (unweighted)

Some tallahassee natives like to make fun of how easy it is to get into FSU, but tbh it’s a really pretty school and is a good instate school for their political science major. But it’s not as diverse as most in state schools, they def have a racist mascot, and the size of the classes are BIG. I’m from tally, so let’s see if I get in😊 (not first choice)
I agree the school does have its pros and cons, but I wish you luck getting in!!
Yes it’s very easy to get in if your a local. They have a lot of Middle School and High school programs

Hello, Not a FSU fan or anything, I've never been to Florida and I had to look up what their mascot was. I would like to say upon doing research that when they picked the Seminole as their mascot they got permission from a native American reservation to use it. In fact, the people of the tribe praised the university for using more Native American ideas. It is not racist as you said.
I have a complicated relationship with the school‘s mascot. I understand that the Seminole Tribe has given the school permission to continue to use the mascot but some of the schools traditions don’t sit right with me. During football games they paint a white students face brown in order to portray Chief Osceola, very important leader. The Seminole Tribe doesn’t receive any financial compensation from FSU, while the school makes thousands and thousands of dollars a year on sports and merchandise using the Seminole name. I understand that the relationship that the school has with the Seminole people is a lot better than the relationship that most schools/teams have with indigenous people, but I still feel like there are things that could be improved. But thank you for the comment, I think it’s important to have discussions like this.
Julia Ursine omg yes preaaaaach. 👏👏👏 for the amount of racism in the student body, having an indigenous mascot is honestly ironic. FSU is not my first choice, a big reason if not THE reason why is because of diversity issues.

Hey girl I’m just curious about why FSU over UF, I got into both schools too. Was it that the PaCE program at UF was less appealing?
Yes, for UF I got accepted into the PaCE program. All of my classes would be online for at least two years and it didn’t seem worth it for me. They’re both really good schools it’s just that I don’t do well learning online.
@@juliaursine5848 totally understand your decision, but honestly the UF pace program isn't as bad as everyone thinks. Most students nowadays want to take classes online, you'll still have the same student privileges, and its the same education. They mainly do this because there is limited boarding space on campus, but there are so many qualified applicants, so they dont want to just reject people who meet the requirments
@@meganrodriguez815 can u tell me what is pace program and does all universities have it ? does acceptance rate include people selected in pace programs?
@@sachinjain6913 pace is basically UFs online program where you do 1 or 2 years online before being able to transfer onto the campus. This is bc UF accepts a lot of ppl but the space on campus for classrooms are limited

UF is my dream school I hope I can get in. What are your stats because I don’t think I will be able to get in because I’ve only taken three AP classes for my junior year and the rest has been all honors since freshman year. But next year I will be taking four Ap classes, two honors and four dual enrollment classes. Do you think that will be enough to get in?
My junior year I took 3 AP classes, and in my senior year I took 2. I graduated with a 3.6 gpa, and I got a 1080 on the SAT. I think that the classes that your taking are really good, just make sure not to stress yourself out with all that work. University’s look at more that just your grades, they look at your applications as a whole. I was on my varsity swim team for two years and I also submitted an art portfolio. They want to see a well rounded person, but I think your on the right track. Good luck next year with your application.

Thanks🥰 I was on the varsity swim team for two years, I was in multiple national honor Society’s, I submitted an art portfolio for the arts schools/programs. SAT: 1080 GPA: 3.6 (unweighted) Class Rank: 153/346
