It would depend on the area that you are rotating them to, the type of forage available, size of area, how many of each animal, and breed of pigs. Chickens would be used last to help scratching through the manure which will help it break down faster and also reduce the pest load. I would recommend the book Dirt to Soil by Gabe Brown.

There are a lot of variables that would change how many per acre. Under the right conditions 2 cow/ calves per acre.

If you supplement them with some cake or feed you could maybe get more than 20’on 10 acres. Depends on the area and rain fall and if you give ‘em hay. I would. Say 20 but probably 12 to 15 with minimal supplements. Could get costly if you get to many. Better safe than sorry.

Thank you! We are taking things day by day. The surgery didn’t take care of the pain, so now we are waiting to see what is next. We miss making videos and look forward to being able to get back to it again.

They are Aberdeen cattle that was sent to a research center in Australia. Here in the US they are American Aberdeen.

His surgery went well. Now he’s dealing with the recovery from the surgery. He says it shows you real quick how often that area of your body is used. Even getting in and out of bed takes more thought to try to reduce the pain. Dr said that it could take up to 3 months to know if the surgery works.

We can give some showing tips on calves, but we don’t raise any bucket bottle calves. Biggest thing is to make each interaction with the calf a positive one.

She is good at getting loose just not in video was she caught getting the job done. The pin slows her down some. If the pin wasn’t in she could ope the door and start running all over barn.

Could be multiple reasons for the visits. Still nice to be able to see them and how they adapt to different situations.

We have not tried to make our own yet. We are getting ready to start weaning soon and will be milking 3 twice a day. We just purchased some supplies to make cheese. We will be building a cheese press and trying to use some of the milk to make some cheese.

Never been there. We have seen photos but that’s all. The farthest South we have talked about moving so far is Tennessee.

There are multiple ways to get animals uses to the halter. Some methods are more stressful than others. A person has to decide to use the methods that they are comfortable with and that will produce the end results that they are looking for. This methods works well for us, so that is why we do it this way.
