Out of all of these, I really do like the SBGL for starting a 2k army! It has everything you need already and just needs Wolves, Zombies, or Neferata/Mannfred and you're golden! On the other hand, the FEC Spearhead feels like a must for anyone starting FEC with Morbhegs and an Archregent. It's just difficult to find the 3e FEC Army box (discounting the extra Varghulf is actually a very good next step) and more ghouls these days.

Love the gameplay and banter between the two players! Cant wait to see more matches like this

Getting Ushoran and an extra Battleforce Box for FEC is not that bad of an idea actually. 4 Morbhegs for two Reinforced units are amazing. I was thinking to go for the Spearhead box, but that would put you in an awkward position with 3 Morbhegs instead. Only wish that they offered a stand-alone box for the Marrowscroll that wasn't in the Dawnbringers box. Am loving this format though! Keep it up!

Why would you remove all courtiers and take lords of the manor. You are only using your subfaction ability with a CP. At this point just take Royal Menagerie to get Ushoran a 3+ strikes-first.

What are your tips for new players who want to built “strong but general list” I’d like it to be strong but not unfun to play against. And am finding it hard to balance it especially being very inexperienced

Once more, Nighthaunt proves itself to be the boogeyman of tournaments. But seeing Seraphon and four entire blocks of Reinforced Aggradon fills me with dread I can't describe.

Very cool to see you review alternative lists outside of what's been "solved" for the faction! P retty much every Sylvaneth list _must_ include Alarielle and/or Belthanos, and most likely a Durthu, it seems. An Outcast-themed list is very fun and flavorful, even if it's not very optimal, objectively. Also, FYI, GW recently issued an errata for the Twistweald so their charge debuff ability activates during the Movement phase, not the Charge phase. As it was written originally, the ability was literally impossible to use, because the active player resolves all their abilities before the opposing player, so your opponent would always charge before you could debuff that charge. The errata thus fixed that little issue.

On the bit about Deathrattle vs Ossiarchs it’s very interesting because Nagash basically introduced a necropolis ecology of undead predators vs dead prey. The Deathrattle are natural skeleton warriors with the stronger ones remembering their human lives and have kingdoms & baronies throughout the Realms that mimics their living ones with skeletons working forges, stone buildings and cutting forests to expand as they did back in the Age of Myth when Nagash was apart of Order and had his tireless Deathrattle legions build the cities for the living everywhere. Their Wight Kings are the mightiest among them that even command respect from vampires as equals, influenced by the realms be it Aqshy Wight kings that are hot blooded conquerors or Hyshian philosopher skeleton kings, and have even been ambassadors to Azyr and jousted with Sigmar’s finest on bridges of starlight in friendly tournies with Azyr & Shyish having linked cities with histories between heaven & the underworlds. Ossiarchs however are unnatural undead as all bone golem constructs or fused skeletons & Metal that are Nagash’s ultimate loyal legions that don’t even allow the autonomy the skeletons. So they are an active threat to the Deathrattle kingdoms as all those skeletons are merely fuel for the Ossiarchs who turn them into parts(that’s why you can see skulls or femurs used to strengthen arms and legs as Ossiarchs are amalgamations of bones & multiple souls) and are hunted down when the Bonereapers aren’t leveling bone tithes against the living to keep the peace and their forces & bone fortresses replenished. This is why the Deathrattle models are all armored and more heroic as anything less is lorefully snatched up by Ossiarchs for parts and can’t fight them off which is why they’re a sub-faction under Soulblights as they seek protection under the numerous vampire empires to keep the bone tithes as bay who usually are at odds with the more independent vampire lords who aren’t willing puppets of Nagash as the Ossiarchs are.

AOS is more conducive to writing your own lore, I’ve gotten pretty creative with it. Old world is more solid in other ways
