You completely took this post out of context Regina. You're also assuming this is a national family, why? Complaining? We're telling a story to demonstrate to others considering a move here that noise WILL be part of life. We've not only accepted it, we're trying our best to live with it, and thought sharing some key solutions could help others who could be experiencing something similar. We've made radical changes to try and find balance. You are more than welcome to come visit us and spend an entire day being subjected to 6-12 children who scream incessantly for 10 hours, often into the late hours of the evening, with ZERO adult intervention. I'm not sure why people look for any opening to launch a verbal attack on expats like us who are merely sharing stories. As Canadians, we've embraced every race and culture our entire lives and have never once launched a verbal attack on someone expressing their view. We came here for a plethora of reasons, so making assumptions and comments that have no merit is really counterproductive. That's such a disgusting comment to make. First of all it's not a cultural thing. It's a Problem that has to do with government officials failing to take mental health seriously which stems from the fact that Mexican people who live in mexico and have never left the country are generally uncivilized ( In the sense that they are highly insensitive to what could constitute a lack of respect and a lack of consideration for neighbors mental health)in comparison to people who live in first world countries. It's a mixture of Mexico's government's ( At all levels) failure to take law and order seriously and also a matter of uncivilization on behalf of the mexican people. I say that as a mexican myself who lives in mexico. I am surrounded by a bunch of neighbors Who own loud roosters and dogs and believe me, Some of my other neighbors actually do get bothered by the noise but they don't actually do anything about it anymore because they know that the police Isn't going to do anything about it. The police out here are extremely inept at actually doing their job and enforcing the law. They don't even Investigate the assassination Of political candidates So do you think they will really care about people Making excess noise? No. I think it's disgusting that you would mask inconsideration towards neighbors with a veil of having more life than them. That's utterly disgusting.
