Unfortunately that’s how it happens, deprivation of connection primes a person for an abusive one. It’s heartbreaking to watch and I’ve certainly fallen for it myself before. Then the reckoning comes - and each person gets to decide between the unknown and a repeat.

I want to laugh because of how matter-of-fact you said this but also, I don't want to laugh bc it's f'd up and a lot of ppl feel like this. 8/10 “informed” people I know forgot Trump brought us lockdowns and believe the world changed with his…second(3rd)…”victory.” 90+% complied during the last serious psychological test, which took place under his watch. These are supposedly the “informed” ones. I’m not so confident. But the decks in our favor…,I think. And songs/truths like this help immensely. Win or not, we must not comply.

I think that problem (aside from mind control via Stockholm) lies in the infantile desire to have someone else “take care of things” leading to a desire to be ruled over. Trigger the primal fear of isolation / threat and then provide the solution based on tribalism / ideology > satisfying the brains need for connection, although temporary but that’s why it’s so effective.
