Seki sensei moves very different here than when teaching his koryu. I must wonder if practicing conventional iaido is harmful to learning traditional koryu jutsu?
Since he can do both I doubt it.
This is just my personal opinion but I think it can be, and doesn't have to be, depending on the practitioner. If you can keep it compartmentalised in your brain, it shouldn't be a problem, but some people can't and they mix it up.
Embu and teaching are totally different 😉 plus, this video is 8 years old, I am sure he's even better now...
