On this webinar hosted by the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) Sustainable Financing for Preparedness Action Package, Priya Basu (Executive Head of the Secretariat of the Pandemic Fund at the World Bank) shared an analysis of proposals received during the Pandemic Fund's Second Call for Proposals, followed by a moderated roundtable discussion with representatives from awarded countries: Dr. Nadeen Hilal, Advisor to the Minister of Public Health, Lebanon; Dr. Reina Teresa Velásquez, Head of the Zoonoses Control Program, Ministry of Health, Honduras; Dr. Anban Pillay, Deputy Director General, National Department of Health, South Africa; and Dr. Beza G. Tekleyohanes, Technical Advisor in the Office of the Minister at Ethiopia's Ministry of Health and representative for the Office of the Chair of the 2024 GHSA Chairmanship. The discussion explored challenges, successes, and lessons learned from the proposal development process, identified areas to strengthen future calls, and discussed how GHSA can support these efforts.
