I will never understand why so many people like Amano's godawful art

Man I'd appreciate so much a remake like this, much more interesting then ultra realistic stuff... Also that art style fits more with the game ambience imo

I have got to be honest; this looks awful! I am astonished that so many in the comments would really play the game if it looked like this. I don't think Amano's art style suits being in a video game.

Square Enix is retarded to complain they can't do a remake. This is literally all that we want.

Now that the technology is not limited to 2D sprites, I'm ready to see a FF6 remake with Amano's style. And the game better be challenging and as well executed as the original... I doubt modern Square Enix could pull it off, but if it does, they will deserve my money.

This is what they NEED to do. Using Amanos art in-game exclusively. Have beautiful hand drawn sprites like Melty Blood Type Lumina, Skullgirls and Cuphead OR, like Guilty Gear Strive 3D in 2D style

This is incredibly interesting! I never thought I’d see a Yoshitaka Amano artstyle actually presented in game format. Maybe the overworld would look a bit more realistic with the 2d characters all having a multple direction walking animation.
