Only in a Series Land Rover it's just simply a way of life. Both my Series 1 diesel and my Series 2A diesel are still going strong after all the years. I'm the original owner of both. They've NEVER LEFT ME STRANDED and have ALWAYS BROUGHT ME HOME UNDER THEIR OWN POWER. Even with their QUIRKY behavior, they're part of our family and a trusted member of our family.

I want this car. I had one almost identical when they were new. Mine was auto with black centres in the Simmons. There is so many little resto jobs you can do on this car for under $50. Buy some water based degreaser and clean engine bay and door jambs $20 for 5 litres. Remove the black louvre mounts from back window - free Remove boot badges - free Buff paint work - if you have a buff, you might spend $50-100 on compounds and polish but enough to do 20 cars Rub back and touch up bare patches on paint- custom mixed rattle can $30 will give a passable result from 20 feet. Spray black window surrounds -$20 With the same black paint, pant under guards, bonnet vents, radiator , fan , condenser Shine the tyres and clean the windows - $20. You could most of that in a day and that car would look incredible. 🔥🔥🔥

Mine was all rusted out around the rear window and parcel tray that was in 1988

Had a VK in 1988 6 pac would have been better if it was a V8 much better Car cheers Mick

Passed my driving test in my parents’s identical HR (same color but without the carpet.

I drove an identical HR...arh the memories.

Greetings! This car is very similar to the Russian-made GAZ 24.

The net stage is to replace the carpet put the interior back in. Put the new front and rear light in new tyres and service the engine (new water pump, thermostat and clean the carby), then try and get it registered!!
