ah ok. Yes I think the only gold rubber band for the GMW-B5000 series is the Kolar strap. These are super watches really for the changing bezels and colourways.

ah yes I was going to say you probably need only 2 links removing. They are fiddly but if you remove in the arrow direction and put back the way you push out it is fine. Yes the blue & gold is nice and I think it is going to be a collectable one. I too am waiting for the B5000SS as I think the top part of the bezel that is blue is now a separate part of the outer bezel unlike the normal bezel so this is going to be interesting.

Haha true. Yes I was watching a lot of the Japanese sellers/websites. Worked out cheaper for me to get one from Japan. Here in Australia they're going to be about $1299aud. From Japan it only cost in $900 range, also no import fee for Australia on an item under $1000👌🏼.

@@mwboost ah yes I think it is cheaper for you to get from JP and then you are assured the JP packaging also.

In Bangkok, they’re not available yet. I heard Casio Thailand will bundle all 5 watches as a set. I dont like it. I dont wat the other 3. 😅

@@douglaskrueger357 my guess is the UK got 50 pieces in total so from that you might be able to work out how many are made for the whole world. My guess is 1000 which it not very many for Casio. I could be wrong it really is just a wild guess.

@@douglaskrueger357 actually the number of 1000 seems too low.. perhaps it is between 1000 - 4000 but again it will be low for Casio. Yes the blue and gold GMW-B5000SS is on the radar 🤓

exactly and I keep thinking G-Shock might release a gold MRG-B5000 and I know I am going to like it...

you offer great information here thank you. I love the fact that Casio have selected different titanium allows that better match their use on the watch and this for me was a big point of interest. The first MR-G I got was the B5000D (silver) as you are right it is probably more of a daily any outfit watch. But then when re-looking at the B5000B (black & gold) it did keep intriguing me and it looks so cool. MR-Gs are expensive but the engineering is a different level and they are going to last. Thanks again your comment is brilliant thank you.

to be honest it it like the day I bought it and it literally looks brand new. I think the Cornflake coating is harder than plain steel so it must be more resilient to impact from other materials.

Thank you for your comment.. I am very pleased that the video was helpful. I do think it is an unusual watch but a very cool release by G-Shock. I imagine in the future this will be one of G-Shocks collectable pieces.

I bought the new 50th TRN-50SS only this morning.. so now I have 2 Trons... I've grown to like the size.

Yes in the UK, Spain and France they are still available as of today June 2024 but I think by the end of this year production or availability will end.. my thoughts.

@@masterwatch Do you think production will cease because Casio has some sort of typical availability lifespan for the MRGs? Is it 2 years or something like that?

@@pedrohff2012 I do think Casio view the MR-G line differently and they have only one production run on the limited pieces and then perhaps a second production run on models that sell well the first time like the MRG-B5000, so I imagine all MRG-B5000 pieces today will be made until the demand slows down or they stop at 2 years as a sunset end to production.

The price delta is a big one.. I often think that myself actually. The MR-Gs do feel more premium even though they are lighter because of the titanium. When looking close at them you can probably tell the build quality and tolerances are very tight on the MR-Gs.. but if a person is price conscious I'd say go GMW because they are still very good.

To be honest I have seen no scratches.. BUT.. I am careful with my watches but I am sure there must be some very light scratches as I do wear them but right now I don't have any marks that I can see.

I had the Silver Cornflake in my hand only this morning and I was thinking weather to wear it but instead I got sidetracked and wore the Casiotron 🤓

@@masterwatch I do understand this. I have the same issues although these are just watch people problems. The Casiotron is a favorite of mine too and steals much time from the others. 🙌

Yes but I wish there was a way to polish and refurbish IP coated metal. Unfortunately even the slightest of blemishes are permanent unless you change the parts.

@@donaleeesio I have new spare bezels and bracelet for a few of them as they are the items that come into contact with surfaces. The actual module and case do not really touch surfaces which is a nice thing about the resin and metal coverings on G-Shocks.

I agree.. or just wear what you like. The titanium makes it very wearable in terms of weight and the size matches the style and design really.

Yes I have seen old G-Shocks at 20 years and the module still works fine. The titanium case perfect really.
