    So beautiful! If I may ask, how do you minimize or address raised faces from the dice on this type of mold, on the 1 face? Every time I've poured from a good-priced mold I bought from Etsy, I have substantially raised faces, even when I don't overpour and still don't have voids. I try to polish the 1 face for eternity with the first zona paper and it never goes down far enough; if I move over to the adjacent faces at any point, I create a lip right near the 1 face side. Really don't know what to do

      I pour the mold until the resin is just doming on the dice themselves then pour extra on the lids to make sure there is no bubbles in the numbers and when I put the molds in my pressure pot I used an old mold lid to weigh the tops down just a little more. As to zona.. I've stopped using it entirely along with my tumbler. I now sand 1k-2k-3k -5k ( 5 might be excessive lol) then polish with my Dremel a cotton mop fitting and car plastic polish. I hope this helps!!!

( Sharon Kerr in Resin Supplies Den might ship to Aus to I'll ask her )But if you cannot get the Angelina Film try getting the wrapping paper plastic instead. It's not as thick but it does work really really well. I usually search iridescent wrap on Amazon for that stuff. . Hope this helps!

    • @danaparsonsliquidcosmosart2669

      Depending on the dice I try to pick a contrasting colour that's in the dice themselves.. or something I know will pop.. on these I might do sparkly white.. or maybe a pale sparkly grey or blue.. they will really show against the dice but still got with it (I hope haven't inked them yet lol).. I do try to step out of the usual suspects of golf white or silver.. but some dice just belong with those colours. I did do a pink set that I inked purple. I have some more inking to do shortly.. maybe I'll film it for you <3

    I’m getting into dice making. Any tips on getting rid of bubbles? I’m having a hard time with removing them.

    • @0rnstein

      There’s a few ways you can go about it! You can either purchase a pre-made pressure pot or make your own. (Just be careful and be sure to follow precise instructions when making one or it can turn into essentially an air powered bomb). Another way is pouring and then waiting about 10 minutes or so and use a lighter to pop the bubbles. Additionally you can try to pour slowly from higher up and this will help to minimize the bubbles. Although this can sometimes get messy if you’ve got a naturally shake to your hands like I do. I hope the advice helps some, good luck with crafting!

    • @danaparsonsliquidcosmosart2669

      I use a pressure pot. It's the best way to get consistent results. You can thin your resin with warming it before hand or using a vacuum chamber. But the moment you add anything into it , pigments glitter etc, it will reintroduce bubbles. So the pressure pot is the way to go. I do burst bubbles after pouring into the mold with a long necked. Lighter ( so I don't damage my molds) and I put a little resin on the cap numbers to help prevent bubbles forming there to.

  • @katerirang3625

    I am sorry if I missed it, what Resin do you use? Deep Pour? Do you ever do it without a pressure pot?

    • @danaparsonsliquidcosmosart2669

      These were made with let's resin 1:1 epoxy, just normal not deep pour.. none of my dice except maybe the chonks need the deep pour, and no as I intend to open a store ( if I stop procrastinating) then I want consistent results.. so pressure pot is the best way to go to achieve that. Without it it's a hit or miss

    • @danaparsonsliquidcosmosart2669

      Best way to help stop the blending is to wait until your resin thickens but some brands are better than others as they are already thick to begin with. Moulded and jdiction are thicker than let's resin so they work a lot better for keeping colours separate. <3
