actually, they dont need a mate they get like that anyways, the only time you get a mate is if you want little birdie babies. It could be birdy puberty as well. But do your resarch, talkto an avian vet, some breeders in your local area, and also think hard if you really want another bird, cause they're MUCH nosier the more birds you have and alot more lovebirdy trouble. Yup regurgitating. I know, cayse I have one. First time mine did that, I freaked out cause it looks like she was choking with something she ate and she did it like 4 times in a row, then flew away like nothing happened.

Love birds are escape artists. Sweet Pea, my lovebird, broke out of her cage. We came home one afternoon and found her sitting on top of my dogs cage. Poor Popcorn was terrified of her. After that we got her a new cage. And no it was not too small.
