Re-edited video about SOTA's first graduating class in 1986, with Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Sam Rockwell and others. Originally aired on KQED.
Aired on KGO 7, not KQED. I'm in the show and went to the station to do audio overdubs.
Awe, what happened to Robert Henry johnson? He was the guest choreographer my senior year (2005). Weird because I was randomly singing the song his piece was to… “I really wanna see ya.” Thanks for the memories and this is such a cool video!!! It’s amaaaaazing! Real talented videographer
RIP Robert I'm going to miss your spirit.
Rest in Glorious Power Robert! You have truly Blessed my Life and I will always be Eternally Grateful! Thank You Brother! 🙌🙏❤️❤️❤️
Rest in peace Bobby! Robert Henry Johnson is a dancer and playwright who mixes movement style and literary influences with equal fluidity. The son of jazz singer Lady Mem'fis and guitarist Robert Gonzales, he was one of the first students to graduate from San Francisco's School of the Performing Arts. He attended the San Francisco Ballet School on full scholarship. His performances are an arresting mix of muscular virtuosity, manic energy and naked emotion.
Rest in Power, Bobby. You are so loved.
2:34-2:35-Okay, thank you, Sam.
This is the video Aisha Tyler said was terribly shot. I agree. lol
I highlighted SR in all the clips at a reupload at my channel!

Mr. Rayher built that, and he wasn't there till 1990.... I think.
Wow... some things don't change over years. Sam Rockwell was sexy even in his teens, and Margaret was sexual and irreverent as always!
haha, I'm there now. SOTA.
OMG!! I didn't Margaret Cho went there! I was there 1991. Wish I could have stayed there all 4 years. Suxs when you dont have a choice as a teen where to live.

I used to hang out with some of these people back in these days. In fact I had this whole show taped on beta...yeah, I know it sucked because all my friends had vhs...but it was what we had! Anyway, I lost it and was wondering where I can get a copy of this show on dvd as my favorite part got edited out :( I love the part when Sam says he doesn't want to be a bald headed insurance salesman!!!!! Thanks for posting this, but I wish you didn't have to re-edit :(
