I enlisted in the helldivers shortly after the massacre of malevelon creek. I heard it was beyond horrific but most have dubbed it “space Vietnam” or space-nam for the veterans of it. I myself believe that actions speak louder than words and the fact that they described it in such horror means that it’s worse than they described it. Hopefully we can prevent this happening again, but Curia was captured by the bots and they aren’t giving it up easily. They’re trying to attack super earth and are very close to doing so

Fun fact: Apparently, after the success of O.D.S.T. Bungie wanted to make another O.D.S.T. game where you would like Helldivers 2, would drop into battle at the start of every chapter in the campaign and possibly even in multiplayer. That changed when 343 took over the Halo franchise and 343 decided to scrap it while it was still on the drawing board.

Halo is going to somewhat change their trajectory a bit maybe for the better or for worse. If only 343Industries can take this formula and add it to their already sophisticated game plan then they maybe able to make a comeback. The planes are Pelicans in both universes. The Helldivers look like Marines with almost the same job and such as ODSTs (aka Helljumpers). Similar enemies, similar weaponry, the same capability, the same purpose. Helldivers should be considered an alt reality of Halo at this point

Halo Helldivers and Warhammer 40k fans are like the same people

Helldivers isn’t even comparable to halo. Yes, ODST vibes go hard but the okay style is so different. Halo creators could never be so smart to create a game like helldivers 2… where you can earn in game currency while fighting for your lives. The devs of helldivers are absolutely just geniuses. I hope they continue the good work and realize they just created a classic that we’ve been dreaming and longing for.
