i was shocked when i have bought this thing (today), there's so many things I don't understand, thank u for u for making this step by steps, now I can make it!
So glad that these videos can help you, and good luck when crafting! Thanks for watching 😀
It looks delicious! 😍 I love it because it's so simple, but I bet it tastes soooo good! 😋 Best wishes from a new subscriber! ✨
@@LillasKitchenCreations Thank you so much for watching. They really are so simple and it's great there's only a few ingredients needed. You will have to let me know if you try them out yourself. Best wishes 😀
Looks tasty!
They really are! Thanks for watching 😀
Super schön erklärt , morgen werde ich damit beginnen. ❤😊🐈⬛
Thanks so much for watching, good luck with the build and I hope these videos help 😀
@ …ich hoffe es und freu mich drauf . Ich komme aus Deutschland , bin aber zur Zeit in Spanien im Urlaub. ☀️☀️☀️
Where do you get this from.
In the UK you can get them from the Entertainer or Smyths toy shops. But Amazon also sells them 😀
Thank you for doing this video. It is the first one I have built it really helped. I definitely will do another one.😊
So glad that it helped you and thank you for watching! 😀
I’m so confused because I got artificial plants 😅 don’t know how to do that
Oh dear, hope you work it out! 😀
Cut it into individual branches. Put glue in the pot. Then stick the branches into the pot, just as if you were arranging a bouquet of flowers in a vase. You might need a tweezers.
Thank you for your video. I’ve assembled everything up to putting the wires together. I’ve been afraid to give it a try, hoping that it will work when it’s done.🤞🏻
Good luck! That is definitely the hardest bit of the build. I'm glad that the video has been helpful, thanks for watching 😀
I’m going to have to treat myself to some of these, the kitchen aid gadgets are my favourite, tfs x Julie
@@juliederry3719 you definitely should get some. They are so fun to open and most of the items are perfect scale for a doll house. Thanks for watching 😀
Thank you for the videos! I feel like we crafted together! ❤
Thank you so much for watching. So happy that they could be helpful ☺
@@milesbydesigndo you have a link to those scissors you used and the ruler?
@@kari_writes_love sorry I don't . They are both things that I have had forever. All I can tell you about the ruler is it is stainless steel and the scissors are basic craft scissors. Thanks 😀
Any tips on how to get the silver beads on this wire? I have been trying for HOURS. They don’t seem to fit.
I had to sort through the bag for ones that fitted better. I also tried to squash the wire on bits that were a little bent with needle nose pliers as best I could. But it was difficult, the light was the hardest part of the build. Thanks for watching and good luck!
@@milesbydesignOMG! The plier trick worked! You are the craft whisperer! Love your videos btw! ❤
I'm so glad that it worked for you! 😀 and thank you so much 😊
I subscribed and liked. thanks for this video! Although, I recommend not doing this project with fresh press on nails 💀💀 like I just did while typing and crafting
Thanks so much for watching and subscribing. Yeah I struggle having painted nails when doing these crafts as it always seems to leave the colour somewhere on the make. 😀
@@milesbydesign 😊 Thanks Queen, I'll recommend you to many of my friends who will have the same kit. Also, if I may ask, for future videos, can you show more angles while complete putting pieces in? It's just, I sometimes got confused, either your hand was in the way or the frame blurred. Sorry, and Thanks again for the help on this project ❤ Stay Slay!!
13:54 I don’t have these small things, idk what to do since I can’t find them in the box at all
Oh no, Do you mean the screws to fit the touch switch?
@@milesbydesigni have the same problem!! 😭
Oh no, seems strange that they keep leaving that part out of the box!
@@milesbydesign yeah its such a pity, i dont even know if they sell small screws like that, guess i‘ll have to cut one…
Wow! I want to have a go at this!
That's great! Thanks so much for watching 😀
Hi you never showed what you did with those g parts and I’m so lost lol
Oh no sorry! I hope the rest of the videos are helpful. Were the G parts the electronics?
I purchased this today for my bookshelf and I was rather intimidated by all the instructions but these videos are my absolute comfort it’s great to have them just to make sure it is all going accordingly thank you for uploading ❤
So glad that the videos have been helpful! Thanks for watching 😀
I got this as a birthday present and was so scared by the instructions. But thanks to your videos I’ve just finished building this!! Thank you so much for your help ❤
So glad that these videos were helpful and happy belated birthday! 🎂 🥳

Thank you so much
Thank you for watching! Glad that it was able to help 😀
I’m trying but cannot fathom out the bottom bit of incasing battery underneath
Hi there. It took a lot of adjusting and starting over to get it just right. Hope you have managed to do it 😀 thank you for watching!
Grateful for this yet no matter how careful I am, portions keep falling apart and it becomes frustrating. I could not have put this together at all without your video.
Thank you so much for watching this video, I am glad that it was able to help. I hope your finished book nook came out okay. 😀
Właśnie buduję ten model dziękuję za pomoc.
So glad that this video was able to help. Thanks for watching!
You’re a lifesaver 😭 I’ve never done anything like this and when I opened the box I was overwhelmed and I really needed a step by step video. Thank you so much for posting this!
So glad that this video was able to help you. I admit that I was totally overwhelmed by the instructions when I first opened the box aswell. Thank you so much for watching! 😀
These videos for this kit were so helpful! Thanks so much!
So glad that they could help and thank you for watching! 😀
I am so overwhelmed by this im scared to even start!!
I felt exactly the same before I started. But as you fit more and more pieces together and you make your way through the steps it does seem alot easier. Good luck on your build! Thanks for watching 😀
I was too! So glad this video is here!❤
So glad that you found this video useful. Thank you for watching 😀
Starting mine next week! I’m going to give it to a friend who has just bought a new book stand! The finished thing looks so magical lit up. Nice work!
What a lovely gift it will make. Good luck in your build and thanks so much for watching 😀
Thank you for these videos! It is my Christmas' gift and I have just finished it tonight! 2 days of work .😊
So happy that they were helpful with your construction. Hope that you are happy with the finished project 😊
@@milesbydesign oh yes, it's magic!
Do you feel that the glue pen provided was sufficient enough? Only on other projects like this I've watched, some people have said to buy an alternative stronger craft glue instead. So, I was just wondering if you felt that the structure will hold together enough with the glue pen provided?
Hi there. I found that the glue pen provided was absolutely fine as long as you leave it long enough to dry when building. If you want to build quicker then an alternative might be preferable. But alot of the wooden pieces slot together so snugly that it barely needed the glue. Thanks for watching 😀
You did an excellent job with this project! I like the relaxing feeling it gives with the bookshop and café; perfect for a day of light reading! One question that comes to mind at 8:13 is how well the glue provided works for binding nonporous plastic parts, (the teacup and saucer, the two cats, etc.,) and the clear (Styrene? Acetate?) parts to the wood and cardboard parts. Is this PVA glue, or something else? Cyanoacrylate glue could "fog" the clear parts, so I wouldn't recommend using that. From your experience, how good do you think the glue provided does its job? Also, I notice that you are building many subassemblies without using ANY glue, but just press-fitting the parts. In your opinion, do they fit well enough to do this, or if you could do it over, would you use glue for subassemblies like the bookshop's bay window and air conditioning unit? For that matter, I noticed that the 'shell' seemed to be press-fit, as well. I can understand making the inside accessible should anything come loose and need to be re-glued, or if the LED's ever need replacing, but I can't see press-fitting being enough to hold the entire model together; especially if it gets shaken when taking a book from the shelf or to replace the batteries. Again, if you had to do this again, would you reinforce the fit of the box with glue? Now that this project is finished, what are your thoughts on building a Book Nook of your own design completely from scratch . . . ? Again, thanks for sharing this project with us! 27th Like.
Thank you for making it all the way to the final part. Alot of the pieces of the model I found were snug enough that no glue was needed, that included the shell of the building. Like you said, I feel that if I ever needed to do any additional work on the construction it would be easy to disassemble if it wasn't completely glued. I haven't had a problem with it becoming wobbly as of yet. I believe that the glue is a pva. But I did not have any issues with it attaching the non-porous elements of the build. I would love to create my own book nook from scratch at some point. I would hope to think the wiring would be a little easier to implement if I was doing it myself than following these instructions! Thank you so much again for watching this series and your fantastic feedback 😀
I'll probably begin my own "Sunshine Town" sometime early 2024. When I attempt some scratch built Book Nook projects of my own, I'll probably use items available at my local hobby shop for accessories to fill out my scenes. Some sources you might want to look into are Plastruct and Evergreen for textured plastic sheet representing stonework and building sidings. The store I go to also has precut balsa and basswood stock that could also be helpful, in addition to thin plywood (primarily for flying model aircraft) similar to the main material in the Sunshine Town Book Nook. One plastic model company, MiniArt, has an extensive line of accessories in 1/35th scale that may prove useful for Book Nooks. Though mainly aimed at military subject modelers, their accessory catalogue includes plenty of civilian items, including café furniture and crockery, farming and gardening tools, wooden barrels, household furniture, musical instruments, small civilian vehicles, and other nice detail items. These are smaller than conventional doll house items in 1/24th scale, but larger than O-Gauge (1/48th scale) model railroad items, and would suite Book Nook projects very well. Thanks again for the build tutorial, and good luck with any future projects!
One lesson I learned from watching this installment is at 4:09; install the base part and THEN add the sandwich board, afterwards. The same with the potted plants and mailbox in your last installment. This should not only make installation of the base parts easier, it will insure that the accessories are properly aligned. (This is especially true of the last base part that holds the chair, half-table, and supports the mirror; though due to the wiring, you may not have that option with the streetlamp.) I'll also take that part at 16:17 under advisement when I build the window . . . . Your tutorial will help me avoid those pitfalls. Thanks for posting this! 24th like.
Yes sometimes I feel that the instructions could have changed the order that parts were affixed together. Also sometimes I was too eager to move on to the next step so the glue had not properly set. Glad this video can help with your construction 😀
I know what you mean about being overly eager to finish a project; we've all been there! But your model looks great! Really, the only thing I would have done differently would be to position the sandwich-board sign in front of the café - I'm going to angle mine so the writing is visible to viewers from the front. (I may also customize mine by replacing the cats with similar sized plastic dogs, if I can find any . . . .) I'll probably refer to your video tutorials several times when I begin my project. Thanks again for the trailblazing!
The way this kit was engineered is incredible! Such tight tolerances, but everything seems to fit. This will look excellent when complete! 24th like.
Yes I was really impressed with the kit itself, although sometimes I did have to manhandle parts together because it was too snug to fit. Thanks for watching 😀
The level of detail on the printed parts is incredible, but the assembly process is a bit intimidating. Thanks again for your video, which is one part kit review, one part assembly, and one part trailblazing so other hobbyists may learn from the pitfalls you encountered along the way. 36th like.
Thank you so much. Very glad that my video could be of some assistance.
Quick question: Is the white paint supplied with the kit water-based acrylic, or is it a solvent based enamel or lacquer?
@@modelermark172 I'm not sure. I did not require paint thinners therefore I believe it was water based acrylic.
Thanks. This being the case, I suppose a builder with a good selection of water based acrylics on hand could also add "personal touches" using complimentary colors to 'customize' this kit. I'm already considering painting the door frames and handrails of the Coffee Shop shown at 17:56 a different color to make them stand out more.
I just got this very same "Book Nook" kit myself. I've built plastic model kits for over half a century, and I was looking for something a bit . . . different. And like you noted at 0:58, this kit looks pretty overwhelming, (and I've built and rigged the 1/96th scale Revell "Cutty Sark" ship model kit . . . .) I'm grateful that you posted this video that I may refer to as a trailblazing guide when I begin this project. Thanks!
First of all thanks for watching the video! I'm so glad that it might help you when constructing your own book nook model. Secondly, Wow if you have built models like that you probably will find this build a lot easier than I did. Hope you enjoy. Let me know how it turns out 😀
Thanks! That said, 'model kits' like the "Sunshine Town Book Nook" is WAY out of my usual 'comfort zone.' I have built models out of styrene plastic, wood, paper, and other materials over the course of my building lifetime, (including flying model planes and plank-on-frame model ships that also use die/laser-cut parts on sheets,) so I do have some skills (and tools) to draw from. But I've never built a kit like this, before. I would like to experiment with the Book Nook format, and maybe - eventually - scratch build some of my own using parts from traditional model kits and accessories. The overall "Book Nook" concept is similar to what model builders might call a "Shadow Box Diorama," and one of my reasons for buying this kit was to use it as a 'prototype' for such future projects. I'm hoping to start assembly of my "Sunshine Town" in early 2024. Again, thanks for what plastic modelers would call an "In-Box Review," and a "Test Build" of this kit. It will be a very big help to me.
A mi lo que me encantaría sería poder conseguir alguno de esos hermosos libros para armar en mi ciudad. Por desgracia los que hay salen muy caros, lamentablemente
Thank you! I was lucky that I received most of them as either a gift or managed to find them reduced in the sale. Thanks again for watching 😀
9:10 the most important part is missing : how to shrink/flex the yellow part. 😞

That was a super helpful series, thank you!:)
So glad it was helpful and thank you for watching! :)

Thank you. When I start I shall be following you as the instruction book is all in Chinese!
So glad that these videos can be of some help. Good luck with the build when you start!
Thank you.
I have just subscribed to your channel, and wanted to say it is nice to see a varied mix of content. A lot of channels focus on one thing and then run out of ideas to keep it fresh. I'm now off to the kitchen as your polymer clay pancakes have made me hungry.😀
Thanks so much for subscribing, I am so glad that you enjoy the channel. If you ever have suggestions of what we can do/ ypu would like to see in future videos then please let me know. 😃
Didn’t manage to get on the light 😢
The light and wiring were very difficult and the instructions were unclear, I spent so much time concentrating on getting it right that I ended up not filming all of the steps. Thank you for watching. I hope that you managed to get your lighting sorted :)
Same here
@@natalialenczner456 it’s actually easy. Just combine all black and white cables into one was and twist the ends. Do the same with red and yellow wires. Wrap ends with the black sticky stuff and that’s it.
Thank you,it is really helpful.I am following you rather than the instructions.Btw, in my book nook box there was neither glue nor paint.
Thank you for watching. I'm glad that my tutorial is a little easier to follow than the instructions are. It's a shame that yours did not include the paint or glue, especially as the kits are not cheap. Hope you can find some suitable replacements 😀
@@milesbydesign a lot easier with your video to be honest. Thanks again for uploading the video👍😀
This looks absolutely mouth watering and tempting recipe 😋

thank you for your videos!! they really helped me make mine cause it was way too confusing
Thank you so much for watching. The instructions are definitely confusing so I'm glad this has helped you 😀
PERO COMO CONECTAS LAS LUCES AYUDA
Sorry, the instructions in the manual were so confusing that when it came to the last part of the wiring I didn't manage to capture it on camera as I was concentrating too much on getting it right. Thanks for watching 😃
Thank you so much for this series of building your Book Nook. I started the same one yesterday, and was not happy with the directions that came with it. However, after watching your videos I might not even need them! 😊 And, I love the space you had for it!
Thanks so much for watching. I agree that some of the directions are a little tricky to understand. Especially when it came to finishing the wiring (which I found so confusing that I didn't record it because I was concentrating too much to get it right!). Good luck on your build. Hope it goes smoothly :)
