Short cover - Future Breeze - Heulender Wolf - TD-3-MO + TD-3 + TB-303 plugin + TR-909 plugin
Just a quick demo to show how the TD-3-MO nails that warm, overdriven vibe from Future Breeze’s acid classic, Heulender Wolf, without any FX. This little beast cranks out that acid sound effortlessly, like it's straight from the original track.

A short sample how capable these Behringer TD's to make the show in a live situation. The black TD-3 delivering the acid line, while the TD-3-MO chirping fx puts the cherry on top. However the kick and hihats are completely coming from the RD-6 but processed via Behring BEQ700 and CS400 pedals. #behringer #novationcircuittracks #novation #td3 #td3mo #rd6

Lets fire up a simple #synth line and push through a #multifx #pedal, Behringer FX600 wired after a TC Electronic Fluorescence #shimmer #reverb. And what's the Circuits doing please? All the patterns , mutes, etc?
Hi, I didn't use Circuit while performing this track, the song has been sequenced by Bitwig DAW. However in this setup, I'm using Circuit as a synthesizer sound source only, using the stereo outputs separately. So the left channel and the right channel routed in the DAW to different paths, the left side was sent over a Blackhole plugin, while the right side was treated as a delay-echo channel. The Circuit's synth part 1 used to make pads over the Blackhole plugin, while synth part 2 used to make arpeggio sequences through the delay plugin. The 4 sample parts are half sent to the left channel making huge reverberated stabs, the other half sent to the right channel making some rhythmical melodies / percussives. You can see some examples in my other videos, when I'm using the Circuit, for example: th-cam.com/video/rCLBlinCeL8/w-d-xo.html

Great comparison video! Although I personally preferred the sounds of the MC-505, I must say the video did an excellent job highlighting the strengths and unique qualities of both instruments. The video effectively showcases the distinct characteristics of both the classic Roland MC-505 and the modern Roland MC-101. While the MC-101 impresses with its advanced features, portability, and updated sound library, the MC-505 stands out for several reasons: Sound Quality: The MC-505's sounds have a rich, warm quality that many vintage enthusiasts appreciate. User Interface: Its intuitive interface allows for a hands-on, tactile experience that is perfect for live performances. Built-in Effects: The MC-505 comes with a comprehensive array of built-in effects that add depth and character to the sounds. Sequencing Capabilities: It features robust sequencing options that provide greater flexibility for creating complex arrangements. Overall, the video does a fantastic job of highlighting the timeless appeal of the MC-505 while also acknowledging the modern innovations of the MC-101. It's a must-watch for anyone interested in electronic music production.
Thanks for the detailed review! In addition to the outlines I would say getting closer in sound to the original 505 was the most challenging. However Zen-Core truly contains all the ROM content from the JV derived engines like 505 was, it lacks the same hardware components eg. the Bass Boost function that was a digital octaver and low-boost EQ in the box! Although my personal opinion that JV engine has a warmer sound compared to the Zen-Core - I guess there are also some hardware components supports the final "magic". However, as in the clip presents, in Zen-Core there are more detailed sound samples and the engine overall has a crystal clean (and a bit cold) digital sound. I was using high-pass filter on the bassline and kick (those were programmed together in one preset on Part 1 and Part 2) setting the resonant high and the cutoff as low as possible - this is how I raised the sub frequecies to mimic the warmth of the original 505. Sadly there is no "octaver" effect in the box, so generating harmonics on the master output like on the 505 Bass Boost weren't possible here. I can tell that Zen-Core could sound deep and bassy, but as far as I understand the concept, it will always sound a bit cold compared to the legacy JV engines.
Thank you for your answer!
Sweet
Love it
How do you connect the pedal the rd6?
Plugged the pedal's input to the RD-6's output with a TR cable.
And then from pedal to mixer? I’ve got a Behringer pedal that no power light comes on with mains or battery!!
Major WipEout energy from this fr!
The MC 101 is like the ripped version of the Roland mc 505. But still like both. However the mc 505 is big enough with every roland midi synth with patterns play function. The mc 101 can be big with the roland TR's and the MX1 and some Roland SP 404. Don't forget that the mc 505 really was expensive.
very nice!
thanks mate!
Great Sound Brother!🎉
Nice one
It's sound great 👍
Wraaaaaeeeeeaarrrrrrroooooo.
I agree
Mc505 and emu command station, best two grooveboxes.
Are you using the live as the sequencer (master). I have the live and I don't find it easy using it with other gear.
Hi, thanks for watching. Yes, in this specific track the MPC was the master clock source. If I'm right I used the Crave's own sequencer synced to the MPC and the same for the TD-3. The Neutron and CAT was obviously sequenced by the MPC.
Well the 505 has analog circuits and the 101 is basically a pi

How are you making those vowel vocals?
Hi! Your work is beautiful. Are you using the sounds of the XL-7 or just using it as a sequencer? How about effects?
Nice! Just bought a syntakt and been trying to make some psytrance on it!

Dude like your syntakt jams, as a fellow owner it's always great to see what people are coming up with. I held out for the longest time on purchasing because I wasn't impressed by the content created on it, didn't captivate.
Thanks mate, I have mixed feelings with Syntakt. It's so easy to make these kind of tracks but so limited compared to an MPC or computer based sequencing. Somehow it inspires until you need something beyond, then it's disappointing. Most of the time it's a good fun tho. :)
i just buy one 505 today , cool
I just bought one today! How's yours after a year?

Def more depth in the 505 version
Great jam man, well done! Is that all on the Syntakt? Any post production added?
Thanks bro! Yeah the Syntakt output was processed by the Akai MPC Live. I've used only onboard processors like VCA Compressor and the MPC60 vintage colour which saturates and adds a contour to the low band.
@@BrianGrassfield Awesome, thanks for sharing the details! Sounds great!

Very good vibes there !
Thank you! :)
This is really good! ☺️
Thanks! 😄
Excellent track! Very nice sound design and performance. May I ask what sound effects (reverb, delay, other?) are used on the synths?
Thanks! I'm using the Akai MPC's audiobus to apply effects on external sounds.
@@BrianGrassfield I see. They are nice sounding effects.
@@twenty-goto-ten Yeah I like them. The exact effects are Air Delay, Air Reverb, Air Phaser, Sample Delay and Mother Ducker chains. Then Compressor VCA and MPC60 emulation on the main out.
This ones really hiding on youtube
Hopefully not so long :) Thanks!
Fantastic 🎹 Follow me & watch also my synth jams 🤟🤘
Stumbled across this tonight. Beautiful vibe! Great feel! Thanks for sharing!

The 505 hands down sounds better
I think the word I am looking for to describe this piece is "sublime". Well done.
Thank you!
Cool comparo. To me it sounds better on 505. Probably wouldn't know if i heard just one version on its own, but side by side 505 sounds richer. I wanted to get MC-303 or 307 for some time, but now that there is fixer upper 505 for sale locally, i might have a go at it.
The 101 definetly needs some EQing. It also sounds like it have less dynamics compared to the 505 but this might be helped with some proper EQing. Have you tried sampling the sounds from the 505 and then use them on the 101? That should definetly help identify if the 101 has some weird frequency response or some weird internal compression of the sound.
Thanks. The challenge was that both machine must keep everything in the box, no external samples or outboard allowed. The 505 sound was defined by its "Bass Boost" function while the 101 have its own effects (bass boost also exists). I tried to use the same tones and rom samples in 101 what was used in the 505 and pull as near the sound as possible to it by the EQ and master comp. I can imagine that more experienced users could achieve closer sound but the comparison was balanced in terms that the average same user (me) doing the same thing on different gears.
Csodàlatos muzsika, gratulàlok!
Ezt mondom èn mindenkinek. Az MC 303, 505, 909 ezerszer jobb mint a mai műanyag roland cuccok.
