As terrible as the torture devices and techniques were in the middle ages it is very hard to compete with the Nazi Gestapo of WWII. Torture by then had evolved into an art form. The Concentration Chair, The Bolger Swing physically and perhaps even worse the psychological torture methods used by the Nazi regime were not to be forgotten or believed...
