So thankful for the Safehouse Project. You guys are doing amazing things.
I have a few comments on why the survivor didn't want to speak Spanish. People can be proud of their abilities in a new language and if others insist that the non-native speaker needs help (especially in normal daily activities), it can feel really insulting. I am glad that you allowed her the freedom to decide what language to use, and when.
I know someone who is currently be ing held by traffickers until she pays a debt that they placed on her because she refused to work for them any longer . They also have her 9 year old daughter and threaten to hurt her if she does not comply. They took her id and she is not allowed to fmgo anywhere without a chaperone. Cannot use a phone . She has paid off the debt twice and they keep adding fines and fees like a "leaving fee"
Dont you dare say this needs training! When governmen falsely removes your on lies. And their sex traffrick. Who takes the blame for that. Sure the hell not government. They are scum

Awareness is first step toward prevention. All the more reason to see Sound of Freedom to understand how widespread and diabolical this tragedy is.
To be fair, I'm only 11min into the video but hearing Julie Shrader say that we've been "blessed" and that it's a "miracle from God" is just straight up insulting. Please do not bring religion into a subject of science.
Such a powerful webinar - thank you to the presenters who shared. I missed this webinar when it first came out. So thankful to be able to share with our staff. Loved all the advice!

I love that you all covered this! I am working increasingly with amazing people who happen to have DID due to the trauma they experienced, though. I agree it is a tool our body, mind, and soul protected us with. Each woman had the wisdom to share. I found Meichell to be particularly informative.
This video makes me very sad. While 2 of your panelists seemed to be very knowledgeable about DID and how to help survivors, Julie seemed clueless. I was the one that she was referring to that was hitting her head. It actually was a 4 year old part that did not have the words or actions to know how to get the “bad stuff” out of her head. Julie and Rejuvenating Women’s solution to this was to literally drop us off at a mental health hospital telling staff there we were not allowed to return to their program. Julie has no knowledge when it comes to DID and should not be included on your panel. I was extremely hurt by how I was treated and have been left to try and find other help on my own. It is very hurtful to see her speaking on this subject when I was tossed aside by her program because I specifically have this disorder.
Rejuvenating Women, Julie, just deleted my comments that were in response to you Lily! They deleted all of our comments!
@@jennaarmstrong2570 they don’t want the public to know how they treated me and all of their residents and staff! They completely blocked me from their Facebook page!
Now they deleted my comment here on TH-cam! What is RW hiding from?
Thank you. This was very helpful.
As someone that was forced into human trafficking , There is no help , you either end up in a coma or damaged in the head or dead .
I am survivor. You are correct. I am fighting for my justice and blowing my whistle to end Trafficking.
My step dad gave me to organization. Myths and Facts about women and children sex trafficking. Trafficking headquarters is in Tucson Arizona, professor Richard Kellogg Jolly is the leader, law enforcement , doctor's and whole dam system is Trafficking. No safe place
As a DID System we think this is a good video. We have lots of religious trauma. I am glad you are talking about the God of Love thats healing.

WHAT'S REALLY SAD, ARE THOSE WHO " CHOOSE " TO DO THIS... AND VALIDATE IT AS, SOMETHING THEY " HAVE " TO DO...WHEN IT'S NOT.. IT'S WHAT THEY " CHOOSE " TO DO.... AS FAR AS THOSE WHO ARE FORCED INTO THIS, THAT'S ALSO VERY SAD...
Save the people
You are all doing great work!
Such beautiful work being done in the lives and hearts of survivors! Congrats on the Marley House!!
Love what you do to help our children and youth
