This is a video of an exploratory walk from Seaford footy ground, along the Kananook Creek to Seaford. Parking at Seaford shops would have meant a 2 hour parking limit and the footy ground is unlimited. Not so good when I wanted to have lunch too and wander around the shops and beach. Besides I wanted to explore the trail from there. It's a fair enough walk, but nothing to write home about. Rather than a 12 minute video, I encoded this at 4x speed for a short, snappy video with some music.

Seaford is a popular seaside suburb in the south of Melbourne, Australia. I often go there for lunch and a gentle walk. Usually lunch is at the Spanish Bar for a selection of tapas by Kananook Creek. After the disappointment of not being able to walk at Agnes Falls, ( the first reason for my visit), I drove up the road to Tarra Bulga. Yarram is a nice, quiet South Gippsland country town. It's big enough to have what you need for a few days of getaway, but off the main tourist trail. After an initial visit some time ago, I travelled all the way back to the Tarra Valley to specifically do the Cyathea Falls walk. A bloody big gum tree had fallen over the only access bridge to the trail and smashed it to smithereens. The whole park was closed for repair. Phooey. It looks as though I'll have to visit again after repairs are completed. Never mind, there were other walks to be do...

The day before my hernia operation, I took the opportunity for a short trail walk at Seaford. It is an urban trail, and we get the sounds of trains, distant traffic, some birds, and an aeroplane in the distance. It was blowing a gale and the weather radar indicated a rain storm was due through within an hour or two. I had to get out of the house though. The current Mordialloc Station is located in the Australian suburb of Mordialloc, Melbourne. It is due to be replaced with a new sky rail station and the level crossings removed.
