Dang dude how many sets of transport wheel u got!
I'm really liking the build you have done a great job been watching this build from the start. Only thing i suggest is putting a fuse or some sort of circuit breaker near the battery.
So you only have 4 bolts holding it on 2 behind the cab and 2 at the tailgate? Ok i see u got 4 other mounting points comin off the side of the frame.
Do you happend to remember what width and backspacing your wheels are front and rear?
I have a 86 longbed and my e-brake cable is to short and too long. Did you have this trouble? If so where did you get yours?
Is this the stock crossmember
Part #
Which airbags did you use for your setup?
Dominator 2600 and 2500
Did you have trouble with the base inside the cowl lifting up after you bolted ot to the firewall? I noticed the inside of that cowl is not 90 degrees to the firewall. Switch made the bases 99 degrees and so it doesnt match angle of the cowl to firewall ?
Nice progress
Looks amazing! I really love the wiring setup. This gives me good ideas for my truck. I would love to eventually move my battery to the back but my truck isn't lowered like yours. I might consider putting mine in the bed i dunno. great video.
Where did you get those black bed latches from?
Beautiful truck brother. I like the way it looks already!
Is you front end pocket stock arms or aftermarket cross member?
A few names come to mind. "Smokey." Or "Ol' Smokey." Or maybe you could name it after famous smoking aficionados. "Churchill" because of Winston Churchill, "Einstein" because Albert was a big pipe smoker, as well as "Sherlock" Holmes and "Bing" Crosby. Spit-balling here.
Do you know the width and off set on the front wheels? I really like the way they set ❤
22x9 6" backspacing
how far are you from laying frame?
are you running the factory crossmember up front?
I cant get to park in mine why ? I did before
Lizard skin works really great. I am kicking myself in the butt for selling mine. I sold mine as a solid barn find with the 250ci. 70 chevy c10 short box barn find. was sitting since the 80's in a garage in Colorado. Paid 3500 as nothing was known about the truck. put wheels, lowered, and sold for 14,000...I wish I didn't.
Should have kept her! I'm pretty sure I'll go with the lizard on the bottom side of the bed. Thanks for the input.
I like the airlift 3p placement. Great job.
Thanks Travis. Working on laying out the Airlift harness now. Super simple but I might end up trimming it down to clean up the extra length....not sure yet.
That’s not a Panhard bar, it’s called a Watts link✌
What c notch crossover brace is that?
I just found your channel from the bagged c10 page. I'm still in the middle of all my frame fabrication. I shortened my frame from a long bed that originally had a two piece driveshaft. Do you know how long your front driveshaft is? I was looking at mine and it looks like it would be pretty short if I take 12" out of it.
Awesome job!
Needs more specs on the paint.
Rustoleum Satin Black. Mixed 3 parts paint, 1 part acetone, 1 cap of hardened. Shot with HVLP harbor freight gun at 30 psi
Rustoleum for the win! I mixed mine the same as you explain and it turned out great. I haven't had it in any weather yet, but seems durable. Very nice build!
Very nice! Great work. Like to see more
The old truck has come a long way . I could have never done what you did for the ol girl. Amazing talent and foresight. Still have big red , still runs great. Gotta replace the belt tension pulley I think , no big deal but she has had new exhaust put on recently. I’ll be looking out for your progress for sure.
Coming along really nice! Was wondering what wheels and caps you are running? Love the look!!!
Planning to install this notch. What axel bag mounts did you use? (Upper and lower)
Rydman Ranch axle mounts
ive got a 1974 one ton that needs lowered and i dont know how to do it plus im almost 64 years old lol
Family first is our motto
watched old mortie this morning
yeah im here again
What you can use instead of the seam seal would be the panel bond from 3m 08115. It's a 2 part mix. It is made to glue panels together, and it also provides corrosion protection. I used it when I was working in a collision shop when I lived in Alaska. There are other brands that make it SEM 39747, Lord Fusor 208B As for your bed you can epoxy your then the 30 minutes to and hour you are good to spray your Raptor Liner. Quick tip when you spray the Raptor Liner, when spraying it keep it wet and don't let it get dry sprayed and don't give it a textured look. The wet look will help with cleaning and washing the dirt/dust off. If the Raptor Liner gets textured with the look of being dry sprayed it will be a pain to get the dirt/dust out and it will never be as clean. For painting your frame I would spray it with Axalta Imron single stage. It's industrial strength coating!
Man I really appreciate all of the info. A lot of help. I just sprayed the frame tonight and used Rustoleum Satin Black Tractot paint. Thinned it 3:1 with acetone and added a cap full of hardened. Turned out nice. Have a good one!
@@GrandiandSons you're welcome anytime! Oh nice can't wait to see how it looks. Your truck looks badass, and love the fab work you did inside the bed. Very nice set up!!
Good job on a great truck!
Hi Matt that 6.0 needs to be in there also
I've been looking for a way to incorporate an old CHEVROLET script into my build similar to the way you did. Well done sir.
I love you guys
Noooo
Cuddo's my man, loving the truck . i am in the middle of doing my 56 step-side and I am struggling. Not very good at welding at all. Your video is inspiring. That is some AWESOME work.
Nice
Hey Blake it's jace and joel
Blake is that really you
Love your setup! I'm working on a real similar setup for my 81 stepside.
$200
I love tge apache ! I am interested in the 3100 fender badges what would u want for them i have a patinad 59 apache
Make me an offer. Thanks
where u order the back frame notch?
Doesn't like lowriders. Builds lowrider, that lays frame
This is not a lowrider. "lowrider" is a style not how close it sits to the ground.
lmao
