All this big motor stuff is BS, bigger motors are heavier and most importantly command a bigger price for manufacturer to make more money from customers. I had a 18 foot blue fin, caught tons of fish from it with a 70 hp Johnson motor, about 2 days a year when the lake was calm I could go wide open. The horse power should be capped on tournament boats to 150. However, then sellers would not make as much.
