    Hi good morning. Great video, and how you have the Dc to Dc charger and the solar charger controller separate, my question, is does that mean you have both the Dc to Dc charger and solar charge controller charging the batteries at the same time ? So basically when your engine is off the solar panels are charging the batteries and when you turn on the engine the Dc to Dc charger is charging the batteries at the same time ? Is it OK for both to charge the batteries at the same time ?

      In my case yes, but not all cases, and as I have a smart alternator, I’m finding driving with dcdc isn’t as reliable as solar… but each setup will vary.

    Hey Guy's the Rig is looking Great. I'm not sure your doing the right thing with Air Bags though? They Cause more problems than anything else in Australia, especially if your not sticking to the Black top?? and you haven't had the chassis strengthened, just be very careful.

      Yes, I saw some horror stories about using them while towing. Weight is a concern and chassis reinforced crossed my mind… also changing the rear axel….will be monitoring and maybe upgrades to come I guess.

      @@overlandtheworld Plenty of snaping here in Oz, on all twin cab Utes regardless of make with just canopies. In the paper work from Alu-Cab it is recommended to brace the chassis, I haven't yet, but it's always on my mind and I obviously try and keep my weight as forward as possible. Just curious, could we use the exhaust of the diesel heater as the source of the heat exchange, wouldn't it have more efficiency since it has a lot more heat energy there?

    • @overlandtheworld
      @overlandtheworld 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Possible, even though I agree the efficiency might be improved, you wont find many going down that route as it highers the risk. My diesel heater exhaust is directed stright down underneath the truck. In some countries, the states for example, they have health and safety checks on any campervan/rv installs... Maybe if the heat exchanger was under truck? ...possible in theory I think. My heat exchanger deliberately uses the clean warm air inside the truck.
