Monza Karting Practice
3rd practice session at Monza Karting before their 10 hour race. Teamed up with Aidan Kennedy and Ryan Curtin to take the win by less than 8 seconds in an incredibly competitive race. I take the Lord's name in vain after unwittingly stepping on my seat weight. And then finally Aidan and I battle for supremacy and glory that will last an eternity.

Title says it all. Had a competitive but difficult to drive kart. Left hand turns felt as bad as they sound. Delivered the laps I needed to grab the lead, then had two slow morons ruin a good race.... edited the last 20 minutes out because the finish was decided from that point anyway.

Hardly anything to choose between me and Aidan Kennedy in this one. Decent track conditions with laps in the mid 62s. And can't forget to mention the freakishly fast featherweight champion Coty Hartson for blowing by everyone!

Track conditions were very green on this run. Getting passed by Josh Shine after a few laps was an unexpected surprise because kart 10 is usually pretty slow. Towards the end I completely changed my driving style because I was struggling with oversteer and traction with a smoother approach at the beginning. Ended up being a very close race for the fastest lap in the end, and a much appreciated ...

Shared the track with a few people in this session! One of the guys was pretty quick too. Pretty sure I can find another 4 seconds in these conditions. Had my only spin of the day by pushing it too hard in the final turn on the last timed lap. Still can't wait to get back out there.

Really have to send a huge thanks to staff at GoPro Motorplex for letting rental karts on track in these conditions. They do an incredible job. Headed out for some practice laps in soaking wet conditions. It's been a while since I've been on a wet track on slick tires, so took it easy at first. There was a ton of standing water everywhere so I had to be careful to Just wanted to build confidenc...
