#47 Bruce Hill, racing out of Union City, Georgia in the Howson-Algraphy Printing Plates Chevrolet Laguna painted in new parent company's Kodak Film colors - during the pace laps for the 1976 Winston 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway. Ironically, Hill would never make his 101st start. He was out of the sport after making an even 100 starts....along with 1 DNQ!!!

A White man, A Chinese Man & A Black Man Go To Hell
When the M.C. Anderson race team was in business, they gave Delma some support. He was a pool builder and through the years he would trade for engines, chassis, anything to where he could keep racing.
WINSTON CUP RULED until NASCAR front office BOZO'S made the mistake of thinking they knew what the fans wanted without TALKING WITH FANS . F NASCAR
@@AllenMichael-pl6ps They knew we didn't want this crap, they just didn't care. The TV networks wanted it and their $$$ means more to the greedy bastards at NA$¢A® than us fans do.
Just got telling everybody he’s in a chevrolet when he was qualifying a Ford.
Classic look at NASCAR n 1995. Amazing that he could qualify for the preliminary race.
RIP, Clinton “Delma” Cowart. 1941 - 2021
Dear god their rollcages were only .090?!?!?
I would have loved to been a part of his race team. Down to earth!!!
I didn’t start watching NASCAR until til 1993. I pulled for Delma to qualify for a cup race every time he attempted! Unfortunately, I only got to see him run a few ARCA races
These are the Drivers that Nascar was meant to be for, sadly it is about nothing but money, The sport has lost where it came from.
This is Nascar, the shit they got on the TV today is not Nascar.... No play off bull snot, No pit stop breaks to get a drink and rest this was actually Nascar Racing
Bravo! My sentiments exactly.
I never heard of Delma until this video. Seems like a great guy!! 🤘🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸
I didn’t get to watch him race but I already know he was the best
This was when NASCAR was a great, today you would never see a low-end race team get these chances.
3 top 20s in cup. Still quite an accomplishment.
Yeah not bad ,and you know he probably dominated his local track
"Something would have to happen to all 39 cars in front of me." That's the part I found the funniest. That's classic.
This is back when NASCAR was true WINSTON CUP racing. Delma made me proud to be from Georgia. This crap they have today is a JOKE. Most of the drivers are a joke. It’s why I quit watching over 20 years ago. RIP NASCAR WINSTON CUP.
Old American saying " i quit 20 years ago" never gets old. Yet again you are old. Am young look whose losing.
I couldn't agree more, as a fellow Georgian @stevejump9630
Great funny story.
I always rooted for Delma
Mascar was built in guys just as determined as this man,, they love to tell the history of nascar,, but wouldn't let this man with that kinda guts and courage,, to get a chance ,, money ruined nascar!!!
Money is why motorsports is thriving stop being so incompetent
I don't see Motorsports "thriving" anywhere across the world....much less NA$¢A®....the only people thriving are the France family.
If I had been a well known driver in the sport,, I would've help him alot ,,,
This dude is a script every time he opens his mouth. Man, he showed me how much life I don't have.
Me too, buddy. Me too :/
If I were one of the owners at that time. Id have helped the hell out of that man.
do you have a footage of the Waylon performance?
@@videochannel5707 no, unfortunately. They were very strict in not allowing us (or anyone) to record Waylon, understandably. There are a few seconds where you can hear him in the background during the "aftershow" footage. Sorry, but that's the best I can do!
@MatthewLewisAtlanta thanks for the reply. I surely hear ole waylon There!
Neil Bonnett's crash has video footage. It's on TH-cam somewhere.
@@thomas.wells1985 Only that grainy partial footage from someone in the infield
The Lennie Pond #54 Pepsi Chevrolet S3 Laguna was a nice-looking car.
Oh my, wow long time ago ❤ I don't remember any of this. I've lost many memories and how to play drums
NASCARs been dead since they banned the superbird. then they been dead since restrictor plates. then the car of tomorrow. Todays its dead because its run by woke losers who thought a garage door rope needed the FBI to come in to investigate.
Love those real race cars
This was awesome. 👍🏻
Classic lol
That’s what made nascar great
I was totally unaware of this gentleman and this story. I'm so glad it popped up. I really enjoyed it.
Fun fact I’m related to this guy idk how but I some how am
I'm a cowart as well lol
I miss everyone on this stage. Great times.
Miss you too buddy! And everyone else as well! Glad to see you're doing well.
lol there would be riots
Miss you buddy
Love yea bro / raceing check flag ✌️🥇👍
Not gonna lie, that’s actually a slick-looking livery.
I have a t shirt that has his pic it says “ I’m hurtin Linda “😂I wear it with pride.
Where can I get one?
ok
Look at him go!
Holy crap, where did you find this footage?
It was from a local news story on Rodney
@@MatthewLewisAtlanta thanks
When Jimmy Means appeared on the Dale Jr. Download, Jimmy said that he saw Neil Bonnett's crash when it happened. Jimmy was adamant that Neil blew a right front tire. He said he heard the tire blow. Both Neil and Rodney were on Hoosier tires. Goodyear benefitted greatly from the PR disaster that these accidents caused.
I know, I saw that interview with Jimmy. And it's hard to go against what he believes he heard, but I've also read from several sources that the tires themselves were all still up and inflated (to what psi I've never heard?) AFTER the wrecks. And I know the power that corporate PR BS has over the ability to manipulate the mind of the consumer and Jimmy was always good with Good Year. Not to Dave Marcis' level but still. Add to that the power that NA$CAR has over its competitors to control what they say and think. And NA$¢AR did *NOT* like Hoosier or want them around. They only allowed them in as a precaution in case Good Year's new owners decided to pull out. Then later because they wanted to strong arm Good Year when they signed their new exclusivity contract with them after 1994. Dirty business all around but that's nothing new with NASCAR. 🙄
😝 Promo-SM
Nah, he was just a troll scumbag bragging on his TH-cam hit count. I already deleted several of his hate messages.
For next time- meganfox covers all three
RIP Rodney Orr
Much like other situations like with the Owen Hart fall in WWF, the cameras are always rolling so Orrs crash is likely on tape but will never be seen. And I heard a rumor once that there was an in car cam in Dales car since he had a a roof cam but I don't think there was.
Guarantee there was... but considering the circumstances and scene afterward inside, that will never be seen.
Yep. same can be said for many other crashes.
There was no in-car camera in Dale's car, I remember that day vividly and that's indeed just a rumor. Otherwise logically they wouldn't have needed 5 months of investigation to try and figure out how he died.
@@ryankoch504an in car cam wouldn't tell you for sure if his harness failed. That was moreso what they were investigating.
This is not true. Dale had roof and bumper cameras, but no in-car cameras. He didn't like having in-car cameras because he was prone to doing stuff like flipping other drivers off and he knew it would mean fines and points penalties.
It's a coon shooting boogie
Just found my favorite NASCAR driver of all time.
That's what happen if you selected time machine mode.....
