Honoring the 11 (volunteer firefighters)
In 1973 Kingman was dealt a devastating blow. A tanker train car, filled with propane exploded, leveling buildings, injuring 99 spectators, killing one civilian.
Eleven volunteer firefighters gave their lives that day, to save the lives and proper of the community they called home.
Lee Williams High School is named after one of those firefighters, and the school tries to impress upon it's students, the standards these firefighters tried to live their lives by.
This year, was the first graduating class from this school, and many of their ceremonies and the traditions they have started to build, honor these men.
This was part of their graduation, honoring these men.
To quote their school motto, "Be one of the 11".

These cowboys were rounding up the cattle that had been hanging around the well where our community goes to get their water. The rancher needed to have them rounded up in order to brand and tag them. I was not prepared for this, and they caught me off guard, but I did get this little bit of video.

Marion Miller Winningham (class of 1974) made this video for the members of this class who have, through the years, lost track of their yearbooks. Most of the music was performed by former classmate Judy Appleby. I hope it was enjoyed by all. It is a long video. Thank you (This video was made in June 2012)

porch demolition

The theory was that the weight of the truck would pull the old porch down as the cross members were cut loose. That way the roof of the old porch would not go through any windows. This was a construction crew, and they talked like one, so you may want to turn the volume down

This video was created by Marion Miller Winningham, class of '74 and has images of Sunset High School in Hayward, Ca. It also has images of alumni and faculty from the 1970's. The music has no royalties or copyrights. This is a rough copy. It is not a completed project, but I wanted to share it with a friend.
I was there for the donkey basket ball, miss those days 1969. 1970
I used to go there from 1983-1987.
I really loved it, and enjoyed it. My brother was in it R.I.P. i love and miss you

High school from 1973 - 1977 was some of the best time of my life (even though I was so shy). If only I knew back then what I know now. WestPac? Were you in the US Navy? I graduated from Sunset in 77, and I went on 2 West Pac cruises out of Pearl Harbor. I was an EM on the USS Conserver.

Wow. I live around there at B Street. I always walk through Sunset High and wonder how it used to look like with all the students crowded like an actual high school.

I am not sure what your problem is (MrTOOLAZY123). I would hope you would appreciate the fact that your father is in it. I don't know who you are, but you limited the possibilities. I suspect your dad lives in Union City. I don't even remember him. This video was not a project done for me, but one done for the alumni of the high school I attended. I did not limit the pictures to people I knew, liked, or anything else. It was for everybody. Sorry you cannot respect the work of others.
