Film ONLY Photoshoot on the Salt Flats! Mamiya RB67 & Canon F1
For the first time in my life, I ditched the security of using a digital camera along side shooting film & did a film only shoot on 35mm and 120 film.
See the results of pushing my comfort zone!
Thanks to Michael Graef for filming this one ✌🏻

wtf are those sample photos lmao
Is the viewfinder vertical because the shots it takes are vertical? If viewfinder is horizontal then it would take time getting used to.
It’s vertical

My flash maybe works half the time, even with the red light on, a lot of the time it will not go off, anyone know why?
4:24 shooting photos purely for memories is art in itself
Wich type of film would u recommand with this kodak
how cool! it gives off retro vintage vibe, exactly what i looking for
so im new to this whole thing, and i was wondering if the camera already comes with the film roll in it or If you just buy one with a AAA battery all together. and also how do you make sure you don't damage the roll when you initially put it in the camera?
Should I get the h35 or h35n
Those subtitle how u make it?
I just ordered one and these shorts got me excited to experiment and play with this film camera 😂
How is it?
@@Madridista_15924 so far it’s been es and fun to use. Also I didn’t realize how long it would take to get through a roll of film. So I still have a bit to wait to see how the pictures look with Kodak 200 film.
@@MyNerdFriendsGaming does the pictures from it give vintage retro vibes?
@@Madridista_15924 I haven’t developed my roll yet. Ita actually hard to take 72 pictures for me lol but it does have a grainy effect from other reviews I’ve seen and the type of film 200,300,400 etc can give it the underexposed or overexposed look with the right lighting. So it takes some experimenting. Which is what my first roll is basically full of different types of lighting and environment to see what the camera and the film I chose produces.
Could you recommend any old half frames?
But I have to get these printed out right?
yeah. though some places can digitalize them for you if you want it that way
and shot a lot of under exposture photos.
Bro got a reboot card
I don’t get why I need to do this on film I could just do this with my phone
They let you bring cameras in the stadium?
Yep! Smaller photo cameras as totally fine at Yankee stadium
Where in montana was this? Someone just sent a gorgeous shot over glendive
Just south of St. Ignatius!
How do you get the pictures out if anyone understands???
It’s film, you need to buy and install film and then take it to a place who develops 35mm film. They can usually give you a digital version or develop them into physical photos
got myself a H35N for my trip to Amsterdam and i cant wait to see the results !!!.
How were they?
Yes! We wanna know! I just got one and taking it to my next trip to Europe too!
So, what can you say? Its been a month since..
give us the update babes!
Hello, just to confirm, this can use black and white rolls? Thanks.
Question, how can you take photos indoors? when I try to sell everything dark
Theres a flash in it? Tweak the circle and put batteries.
Do the rolls need to get developed separately ?
you sound like nathan fielder
Holy shit you're right
what camera did u use to take this video??
How my mom be talking about my photos I take 😭
It's shity camera.
Well it’s a casual consumer camera from the 1970’s.
@@MrBioniclefan1 are you stupid? it was released in 2022
I got the H35N after my old 70s half-frame kicked the bucket, having fun with it so far! :)
Oh no. Can u get it repaired
When the photos are developped, is it 2 images side by side per print?
Depends on what your lab does, some will cut them individually, but if you scan it like a standard roll of 35mm, you’ll have two images per frame. Makes for cool juxtaposition!
i'll stick to my phone, thank you, lol
You missed the point of analog photography
With personal stuf I think I actually enjoy thinking of stuff too much to ever take action. I’ll have another idea before I take action that I’ll enjoy thinking about ya know
The lens is horrible and dark. There are plenty of great options out there and you won’t break the bank.
Any examples?
Yeah, like a 20yold digital camera thats super hard to find and like 30,000x its price 🤡
@@TexMackerson not really, a cheap digicam would be better.
@@MrAndreCoutinho like?
@LIKE?MrAndreCoutinho
How will you convert it to digital pho
High-res scanning
This is just an over-priced disposable quality camera. You can put a new roll of film in it, but why bother. It's plastic Chinese junk.
I recognize those mountians anywhere. Greetings fellow Missoulian. Great pictures
It’s instant! Can recognize them so easily haha thank you!
🤩🤩
Any film camera that shoots video too ??
This one does! Just press the shutter button 24 times per second and you'll get 3 seconds of video per roll :)
@@asmrlibrary7142lol
Is the film you used in the samples the same as you have laying around in the clip?
yes - I used ultramax 400 for the photos in the video
@@KentJohns thanks
How does it work to take a shot on the 2nd half of the frame? Do you shoot twice? Wind it each time? Wind it half way? I just ordered one and know nothing of photography. But I like the comparison element of 2 shots together.
@@KentJohns how does it work
Am I too late for the giveaway?
Which camera did you use to film this video?
i have that one! it was a no brainer to try out for fun! good video
Great shots, and great cameras too.. How were you metering the scenes, with the changing light? Incident light meter?
Is it necessary to put on flash light on these type of cameras ? Or can I shoot without ?
Ever hear of a shoulder strap? Buy one.
what film did you use btw! love the shots
Great video. I know you said that this is more of a Memories camera, so what camera would you suggest to be a good "art" camera?...
