I don’t think there is enough difference in taste to justify the price difference. I do enjoy it, but not at that cost. That said, I will probably pay up for the Russell’s 15. I’ve had a pour of it and it’s significantly better than both of these.

With all the great reviews of this one the price is going to rise as the demand goes up 🫣💯. Great review 👍

Just happened to be town for the GR full proof release day in June and I was told there that is about 90 percent 5-year blended with a little 6 and 7 year old barrels. I totally agree that GR’s product’s bang for the buck is second to none in the bourbon world. The good think is it’s widely distributed in many states now.

My first bourbon when I got into it 2 years ago was Russel’s 10 and I swear by it to this day as being the best intro bourbon that can also hold its own against allocated. The first mckenna I tried was not good but I love the bottle I have now.

Good point that it’s a blended whiskey not a bourbon. The problem is I like bourbon. Not a fan of Trav. Weka/thin nose and lacking in body for me. But hey drink what you like!

New Orleans got their bourbon tobacco and pork by river boats coming from Kentucky and other new states along the Ohio river and it was known as Old bourbon before that.

I have been a fan of James E Pepper for quite some time can't wait to visit the distillery in Lexington. My last visit to Lexington they were closed.

I’ve always thought the St. Nick bottles were more gimmick than anything due to the pricing.

I know in Indiana, stores cannot charge membership to purchase alcohol, so yes you do not need a membership to buy at Costco or Sam’s club in Indiana.

I think it’s excellent. Easy to drink very fruit forward. Great for 35 bucks.

Wasn’t a big wheated fan until Green River wheated was released. The whole Green River line will always have a place in my home bar. Can’t wait to try the rye.

I had the chance to tour Green River a few months back for a work event, I love everything they’re doing there. They make good juice and I cannot wait for their Rye to come out.

Funny thing look at the dsp#. It’s also 12. Which means Barton 1792. 95/5 rye if I’m not mistaken

Secondary is 180-200 which maybe is a little high. I give this a buy at 120 and under. Solid pour, but I love ryes so this is my jam.
