What's top speed on 4s?
The solid Axle is a weak spot for big bashing
Need help please 🙏 , my bearing shat itself and the outer shell of the bearing case is still in there how do I get it out olz help
Looks so nice new
It sure does!
my son love grave digger and zombie. i am debating to get losi or a used axial, i might get this one instead. it seems to better? i dont know but great video
They are both great options!
thanks for this information you just saved me the searching of what bearings to deal with! Btw, when you seated the inner bearing did it seal completely from the pinion side? It looks like mine is in after a few taps, but there’s still a small gap between the bearing and hole where the pinion shaft goes out
As long as everything runs smoothly you should be ok.
Having trouble getting the new bearing in, any ideas? Already destroyed two new ones …
You can try putting the bearing in a zip lock and throw it in the freezer for a few hours to get it to contract a tint bit. You can also try to warm up the housing with a blow dryer to help expand it a bit...just don't get it too hot.
Thank you for this informational vid! Just got my Granite in the mail a few days ago. First run for it still has yet to happen, but I went ahead and did this to it first to have peace of mind.
Right on!
Yup same issue multiple times
It's so common!
Do you have any problems with yours yet
Nope, still holding up great!
Must be nice that cordless screwdriver in Canada 🇨🇦 is 229 son of a you know what lol
Wow, that's crazy expensive!
Mine just did this.
Such a bummer they don't correct this such common issue.
New to the RC game just got this truck and love it, haven’t done any Upgrades, I’m scared to do even small jumps , I’m looking to buy another one for about a hundred bucks less , 10 mph less would be cool , any suggestions?
Most major brands are fairly good these days. Honestly, the harder you drive them, the more likely they are to break....but given enough time, they all will break sometime.
Super tight mesh lol
💯 I noticed that too and finally corrected it 👍
Huh. Same truck, no problem. Maybe quality control made a mistake and did mine right. I've destroyed one of those bearings inside the hub, but all 4 wheels stay on no problem. I can't tell you how many packs I've run cuz i don't count them, but here's a hint: i just replaced my front diff with a metal one, and my rear diff has been replaced with the metal one for 2 weeks or so. My servo took a shit in its bed and got replaced 10 days ago, and I've replaced the slipper clutch too. Thanks for the how-to in case my wheels start falling off, but my only current issue is steering slop. Wide stance kit arrives tomorrow, and that'll be the best $30 I've spent. Best $40 I've spent are on the Amain Hobbies Upgrade RC brand Dirt Claw tires. Those things are only about 100 times better and more durable than the dboots Fortress tires, and the tread is half an inch deep. Grip for days, almost too much grip, hence the wide track\stance (whater you call it) kit.
That's awesome! Metal diffs and a new servo make all the world of difference. Slipper clutch almost feels like it's designed to fail, lol.
Awesome video, just what I was looking for!
You're welcome!
Has the tire fell off since?
Not since!!
Thanks
I had the same issue with my big rock this was helpful thank you.
You're welcome!!
I have a question has you tire fell off since?
Hey man! For the drive shaft, I took out the grub screw/pin. Then do I just pull to take it out? Because I've been pulling like crazy and I can't remove the drive shaft. Thanks in advance!
Yes, it should just come out. Maybe there is something bent or twisted?
@@rcleesd thanks. I finally got it out. I think it was just seized of something. I had to put a flat head screwdriver in between the pinion gears and the plastic casing and twist and then it slide out
I got the big rock in the vortex. And I like both of them
Awesome!!
I have a big rock and I love it. I just put all new metal gears in differentials new. It's awesome
Metal gears are definitely a great upgrade.
This same thing happens to hellcat challengers in the front
Yeah, unfortunately it is very common.
just bought 2 of them today and one of them lost the front wheel in about 10 mins of driving lightly on 50% throttle
Bummer! Get that red locktite on that wheel and you should be good to go. Be sure to let it dry overnight.
Got this a few days ago in red , it’s a beast so far
Awesome!!
A friend and I both bought Granites and the hub screws had loctite on them and they were OK out of the box, but both our trucks had loose hex grub screws. I took off two of them without any tools! All of them on my truck were loose, and 3 out of four on my friends. Other than that, everything was tight and nothing seems to need attention until we break something. So far, the only breakage has been on the body of my friend's truck, he did no reinforcement and the rear area where the body mounts come through cracked. We put packing tape on the outside, and did some shoe goop on the inside and it seems to be holding up.
Yeah, overall they are solid, but definitely need to check everything first, even out of the box. Thanks for sharing your experience!!
Keep em coming more videos please
Will do!
Any chance the process is exactly the same for the front wheels?
Yep, basically identical since it's 4x4.
The stock bumper is pathetic I knew I should of changed mine before I took it out today the first thing I hit took out that bumper and now my servo is acting funny
Bummer, definitely worth the upgrade on the bumpers.
Coops vid! Which one have you enjoyed more? Senton or Big Rock 3s?
I like the look of the Big Rock but would have to say that the Senton has better control and handling overall.
Is it only the passenger side that has this issue since it's from the thread rotation?
That's the only side I've had issues with due to the threading and rotational forces.
Soooooo do you still goto skate parks? I asume yes. Havent learned to avoid shate parks.
Hahaha, they are brutal...but so much fun!!
Ditch the trans cam, and go back to head cam. Trans cam is only good if its pointed twards the truck.
Good call, thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!
Amigo al senton mega 550 se le puede hacer brushles sin cambiar engranes
Interesante!
Mine won't turn,any ideas?
Check to see if there is something stuck in between the servo arm and the chassis.
@@rcleesd that's not the problem
Considering one of these. Tired of my traxxas cars breaking. How durable are these? Any upgrades I need?
Fairly durable....I'd say upgrade as you break...the wing and a arms are usually the first to go, depending on how you drive.
Is this gonna be part of your RC fleet?
I hope so!
My dad has a BR 3s and back wheel falls off constantly since new.
Put on some blue locktite on the threading. That's should help...be sure to let it dry for at least 24 hours.
It looks like its a little harder to jump than my senton and bigrock. I think the extra length on the chassis helps in air adjustments. Maybe u can turn your brake down a little
Good idea!
😝 *Promo sm*
👍
I just got it and I'm beyond happy. I also own a 4s maxx and I don't know witch I have more fun with
Awesome! The Maxx is rad!!
I bought the Big Rock because everyone was saying that the Granite flipped over easily all the time . I love the Big Rock .
Awesome! Glad you are enjoying it!
I drive mostly Asphalt and Grass with my Granite! I recently got to test it out on some Snow and Ice. I love it as it performs much better than my older truck my Traxxas Stampede
Awesome! Glad you are enjoying it!
what do i do if the case of the bearing is stuck in there? the core and balls fell out but not the case. help?
It's not easy. Try to find a pry tool with a hook on the end or try heating the casing carefully with a blow dryer or putting something very cold inside to make it shrink ever so slightly so that it can be removed a little easier.
I am waiting on my replacement bearings. I had to make a Hook from a Small blade Screw Driver as a tool to remove the Rear Bearing.. Used a propane torch to heat the rear cap held by the Pliers.. Then I slowly pride the bearing out.. It was not easy.. I would love to see Bread Crumbs remove Yours...😂 I personally don't believe that at All..
I definitely didn't do the bread crumb method, haha.
I have the same V3 Granite and never thought about doing that. Great job on your research. I'm definitely subscribing. 👍
Thank you!!
@rclee6 You're welcome sir.
Badass! I wonder if itd be possible to hawg out some of the Styrofoam under the center of the fuselage to mount some kind of camera bracket or something.
I think I'm gonna try it!
Bought one yesterday well worth the $400+ spent and couldn’t be happier
Awesome!!
Happen on my big rock 3s .
Bummer!
YOU EXPLAIN THINGS EXTRAORDINARY WELL and I don’t care about my caps I want everyone to see this comment!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
He is so cute!!
