You *don't* signal left when going straight until you've passed the 1st/left exit as people think you're going there instead of straight

The junction at 11.54, if you processed forward on the green light behind a car who was also turning right and the light went red as you were in the middle of the junction, is it correct to still proceeded if there is a gap and lights are still red?
