Yep, great review. I fall into the category ….. don’t want to spend large amounts of cash on a camper van which might not get used enough. This is a great alternative. Got the very same model. The dark colour is an advantage IMHO not much light gets through it in the early morning. Where the window zips curve I found that a bit of Vaseline in them makes them run super smooth. Very much looking forward to taking it abroad next year.

Just got one of these. I find if you put Vaseline into the zip runs then it makes them flow a lot smoother, especially where it goes round a corner.

Great Vid! I have a Freelander 2 also and am thinking of getting a tentbox xl. I noticed you have yours mounted just on crossbars which secure under the door, rather than on an actual roof rack. How do you find the stability? Most recommend to secure the crossbars to a rack if mounting a roof tent but clearly it can work without.. any thoughts?

Lite 1 in 40mph winds on the NC500 last week had no issues with the poles popping out, the one thing I would check is the stitching on both ends, where the straps hold the fly sheet down as mine were coming away, luckily I have a tailor shop around the corner, which double stitched them to make them stronger ... good info 🤟
