North Texas Euphonium Quartet

Since its formation in 2012, the North Texas Euphonium Quartet has emerged as the leader among a formidable new crop of euphonium quartets from all across the globe. The group is comprised of doctoral candidates currently studying with Dr. Brian Bowman at the University of North Texas, and is the only quartet whose members have all been finalists in the world renowned Leonard Falcone International Euphonium Competition. The quartet has become one of the most active young chamber ensembles in the country through performances at numerous universities and music conferences throughout the United States, the commissioning and performing of works written specifically for the ensemble, and educational outreach with younger euphonium players.

@@meanathradon Idk. Didnt't check it lol. But Im brazillian and this piece is a classic "choro" and was written by Zequinha Abreu. Anyways, anyone who knows both - Brazillian and Mexican music- would tell the difference.

EXCELLENT except that the arrangement used by my high school has a piccolo part like Souza used in his marches that was awesome, I miss it every time it isn't there. By the way my ideal musical group would be: drum kit, tuba, trombone, 2 euphoniums ( bass clef), 2 baritones ( treble clef), 2 trumpets ( doubling flugelhorn cornet and piccolo trumpet) and flute (piccolo). A lower brass band. To expand I would add keyboard, a second percussionist, a second flute, 2nd tuba ( so one can play harmony and the other rhythm, 3rd euphonium and 3rd trumpet. That is how my mind (mis)functions. But I still want a flute part.
