Mt Democrat
Back in July we set out to do the Decalibron which is a hiking route that takes you over 4 x 14,000+ ft peaks in Colorado in a single day. Unfortunately, we only did 3 of them. This is the story of us going back to do Mt. Democrat at 14,155 ft in elevation. This is our last peak to do to complete the Decalibron circuit. It's a tough hike but a lot of fun.

July 24, 2024 - The Decalibron Loop out of Alma, Colorado. This is a significant loop trail that takes you across 4 mountain top summits over 14,000 ft in elevation! I want to thank Pat Burger for organizing and leading this hike. Medicine Bow Peak is a 12,000 ft peak in the Snowy Mountain Range in Wyoming, just outside of Laramie. It is a gorgeous hike but hard. The loop trail that follows along the lakes, up the ridge, along the peaks and back down to the trailhead is 7 miles with 1,720 of elevation gain. The tail is very rocky with bouldering at the top or hiking in a boulder field with a scree path to follow. But, th...

      Apparently, you do not appreciate music for just being able to listen to a band that plays hits you enjoy versus whether all of the original band members are still alive. I've listen to great tribute bands (Brit Floyd being one of them) that were as good, if not better, than the original.

      I just like their music… doesn’t matter to me if you want to call them a tribute band… it was a great concert! Just for the record, Mick Jones is a founder and still the leader of the band. He writes songs, plays guitar and sings on some songs. At what point in time did Foreigner stop being Foreigner in your mind? My advice to you is if you can’t find something nice to say, scroll on…

    • @BrkAwa
      @BrkAwa 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are so right... it is Cook Inlet. Sorry I missed that one. I do my best to keep my posts factual and accurate. As far as people getting killed by my reference to Coastal Brown Bears as Alaska's version of a squirrel, I doubt that will ever happen. That's just my sense of humor bleeding through on my posts. In my next video, I am posting that my dog Toby is 'wild life' that was found in Seward. Again, I doubt anyone will travel to Seward to catch a glimpse of a wild Toby dog. With all of that said, if you would like to screen my videos before they are published, I'd appreciate any help I can get. All you have to do is agree to a 1 day turn around and subscribe to my channel. You appear to live in Alaska or have some significant knowledge of Alaska. I've only been there 3 times but love the state and my wife and I are looking to back at least one more time to visit the places that are off the beaten path... Nome, Utqiagvik, Brooks Falls, Kodiak Island, Sitka, Aleutian Islands and the Arctic Circle.

    Really nice video! We visited Alaska in May 2023. We spent 3 nights in an AirBnB in Talkeetna. We took Talkeetna Air Taxi Grand Summit tour, and it was a beautiful weather day, so we were able to fly around the summit of Denali, Mt. Foraker, and Mt. Hunter, and then land on the Kahiltna glacier. We had to wear oxygen masks for part of the flight. Unfortunately some of the restaurants you featured are closed in May and don't open until June, so the dining options are limited then. The brewery and pizza spots were open, but I was disappointed we didn't get to try the famous spinach bread. We also got the chance to meet the Mayor, Aurora, when we were there and she was very friendly, accepting pets. Good luck with your channel!

      It's a pretty cool experience to spend the night on it. I'm glad I didn't have to fight in WWII battles in it though! That thing is a little claustrophobic!

    I wish I could find a vid of little cayman's bloody bay where it shows the 5000 foot dropoff

      It's nothing but deep blue when you look down. Nothing to see past 100 ft.

      That was my family having fun with me. Apparently, I'm a man whore for wearing my speedos to the swimming pool!
