A few months ago I rode my motorcycle with a few other guys from Thailand all the way to Boten where this train crosses into China, the construction with all the tunnels and bridges looked pretty impressive from our road. My son who is based in Shanghai suggested I take the train to meet him and his family in Kunming. Should be fun.

We were just there in mid December also! We got a late start so missed the fog but it was a beautiful view of the river and town below. It took us 1.25 min to get to the top. Well worth the hike.
