Hi and WELCOME! If you landed on my channel... well they say there is no such a thing as a COINCIDENCE. I am a guitar player, singer and songwriter and this channel is mainly a means of introducing my songs. I love the BLUES so there will be a few of my own attempts, as well as GOSPEL, which according to me, formed the roots of BLUES in anyway. So they are not that far apart! I will also place the odd COVER song, although to go to all the trouble of recording a song and producing a video, well...I would rather spend that time on my own creations (-;. "The Thrill Is Gone" is a slow minor-key blues song written by West Coast blues musician Roy Hawkins and Rick Darnell in 1951. Hawkins's recording of the song reached number six in the Billboard R&B chart in 1951. In 1970, "The Thrill Is Gone" became a major hit for B.B. King. His rendition helped make the song a blues standard.
