Nice video. I have a 2018 X3 that has the 4 pins and I have been looking for those lights with the 4 pins,. Did you find another seller?
What a joke. This "module" is $500...... If you're going to spend that much you might as well just get the Tesla screen radio and have a much nicer display.$500 for a module to add two apps is absolutely ridiculous.
Hello! How to use the OEM (original car mic) in Apple Car Play? The mic dont work in my Limcet Device…. In the device There is no input to connect a external mic.
Hello mate, there should be an input for an external microphone, it comes in the box
Donde lo compraste?
Hello! Where can I buy this unit?
Happy new year. I enjoyed your video. Cool. I want to do the same for my car. Can you tell me the name of the application you installed on your smartphone and how to connect it?
where can i get this part and how much is it ..thank you in advance
Bad brand ! No after sales support. Rife with issues - unstable back up cam - poor audio - etc Youll be sorry!
I am having trouble with not being able to switch between CarPlay and the original system, and my backup camera doesn’t show up in CarPlay :(
You 've to switch pin number 8 at the back of the module to on if you 've an oem camera, if you can't switch using the steering wheel switch button (long press) try to plug the provided switch and retry, i installed mine yesterday on a dodge challenger, seller recommended the WJJP-1 for jeep cherokee the oem switch didn't works but that's another case for dodge, in cherokee models should works fine
I have this equipment in my 2015 Grand Cherokee, but I couldn't get the original camera to work, is there a video explaining which wires to connect to make it work?
I installed the kit in a 2016 Durango and the OEM backup camera does not work in Carplay mode, my daughter's 2014 Grand Cherokee works in both modes - make sure that DIP Switch #8 on the interface module is properly set (should be ON)
But in the grand cherokee did you have to connect a cable for the camera to work or just pin 8?
Hi mate Did your factory reverse camera turn on when it's on carplay? Mine didn't show up, i need every time go back to factory system to see the camera
Yeah mate it should automatically switch from the Applecar system to the rear camera, make sure your hardness has that connection
Is it possible to connect a Google TV to the HDMI input?
Hello mate, not sure about the Google TV, I tested the input with an Apple TV and it worked, not sure about Google TV
Hi Where did you the motherboard from? Is there a sit to purchase?
Hello, I got it from Ali express, Just found this amazing item on AliExpress. Check it out! AU$508.20 40% Off | JoyeAuto Wireless Apple CarPlay For Jeep Grand Cherokee XJ KL Wrangler 2014-2018 Compass Commander Car Play Android Auto Mirror a.aliexpress.com/_msTMTYO
Where did you buy these? I can’t seem to find them?
Hello mate, I got them from Ali express, tried to copy the link here but they are no longer available, I will try to locate another seller
Hi! I liked your video. I'm reaching out to see if you've had any luck finding another seller for the BMW "M logo" sills. I've been searching everywhere but haven't had any success. Most sellers now seem to offer the tricolor version without the M logo, which also doesn't match the existing color. Keen to know if you’ve come across anything. Thanks!
Does your 2020 have the notched hole?
Do you know the dip switch setting for a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee? Also I connect the switch button to turn on and off carplay but its not working. Any idea on the issue ?
Hello mate, usually the dip switch configuration comes on the instruction sheet, however the dip switch on the one installed only controls the screen resolution.
Would this be the same process for a Dodge Durango 2014?
It should work as long as It has the same unit
How can I get this add on or this part you added? Mine is 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Thank you!
Hello Mate, I installed it, I got it off AliExpress.
How do I buy it
I have an audi a3 8V with software version: MSTD_EU_AU_P5101, can I also install it on that?
Hello mate, yeah you should be able to install it, you just need to make sure screen size matches the configuration on the module.
Will this work for Audi a3 2013?
Yes it should work if it is the same popping screen
@@trucusolutions4455 yes it has the popping screen
U need 2 do more videos
Can you control the temperature and fan control while in car play?
Hello mate, no unfortunately you need to exit and CarPlay mode to change the fan speed.
Can you possibly provide a link to the products used to do this mod?
Hello Mate, I got it from AliExpress a.aliexpress.com/_mq6KVM8
fits 2015 jeep grand cherokee limited ?
Yes it does
and for rear dors is the same ????
No, for the rear door is different, check my videos history, there is a video on how to do the rear doors. Happy to help if you need assistance.
@@trucusolutions4455 thx i have found !!! 😎😉
Hello, do you have any suggestions on my 2017 Audi A3 in the back door, it has this module 5Q0 959 395 E, which the technique in this video does not work for me. If you knew which pin I would have to connect the exit light to, I would greatly appreciate your opinion.
Hello mate, what are you using to code the front door module? Are you using OBDEleven?
@@trucusolutions4455 hello, yes correct, in the control unit for the 2 front doors in module 42 and 52 and for the rear ones I have BB and BC
Any suggestion on which pins I can put the rear door lights on the module?
Excellent changeover love the look. I have the same dilema. I have the same car not sure what wheels to choose but these ones. Can I have the link where you purchased them? Thanks
Thanks for the comment mate, they definitely make the car look much better and the ride is still smooth, you should definitely go for it, I got them from Facebook market mate.
The X3 look much smarter 👍👍👍
Can you post the link to where you purchased the products used. Thanks

Unfortunately for me it doesnt display anything after connecting the addon board it shows only white screen or some stripes i tried everything and checked all cables are tight but no use when u connect back the original setup its working fine …
Are you able to see a Bluetooth connection and connect your phone? Have you also tried to connect using a USB cable?
@@trucusolutions4455yes i can see uconnect connected bluetooth but its just blank screen
@@A7mad3aref it should be a very smooth transition, double check you are connected to the module not the OEM bluetooth connection, if so, recheck cables it might be a loose connection.
@@trucusolutions4455 thats whats actually frustrating me, that its a very simply and smooth process with very clear instructions but it just doesn’t work and i have reassembled back and forth the module more than 7 times so far with no luck, am starting to doubt if its related to the uConnect software version if its compatible or not although it should be either ways my car is 2014 model grand cherokee but its so frustrating that it just doesn’t work, i can even plan to have a full video call doing the process so quick just to show u how its done but still doesn’t work, plugging it back to its original setup and wala works like a charm 🤦🏽♂️ i have the full kit but doesn’t work Unfortunately i tried everything
@@A7mad3aref Maybe tried to film the whole process step by step, upload the video maybe I can assist you like that. Happy to help.

Follow my Channel. I'm going to post a video of it soon.
@@trucusolutions4455yes i am able to see uconnect bluetooth name and it connects to it but the screen stays blank white or black so its something related to the display i guess coz i even had a call by chance and i can hear it ringing on the car speakers but nothing appears on the screen at all not even in reverse where as when i put back everything as it originally was it works fine back again
@@AubinAutoDiy whats ur initial thought about it ? Is it uconnect version related or wiring related ?
@Ahmad Aref Hey man. What I can say about it is that as long as you have you an 8.4 uconnect system, it should work. What I did was when I was watching a video of it been installed in a Jeep grand Cherokee, I looked to see how many pins there are in the big main wire that plugs in the of the head unit. I saw that it was the same number of pins as the dodge charger. So I decided to order it for my charger and it works. But doing the installation, it did not display anything for me at first either. I had to take the head unit apart again. And I reconnected the interface plugs again properly. Then plugged it back to the car and it turned on after long press the small button came with the interface, it went to a different page. But before it was ready to use,I had to go under setting to turn on a Bunch of stuff on. Like the wireless carplay, Bluetooth, android auto, turned off the master volume because the sound was awful with it on. Then it was already to go. So if you want to watch my video you can see how I put it together.
Hi there. I have a 2016 dodge charger sxt with the 8.4 inch uconnect system, do you think this carplay would work for mine? It looks like the connectors are the same. If you could let me know whenever you can I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance
Hey mate, it should definitely work, it is basically the same infotainment, just make sure all connections at the back of the unit are the same, main hardness should be 54 pin connector.
Ok. Thank you for responding. I will give it a try
@@AubinAutoDiy no worries mate, any questions let me know. happy to help

that' incredible -take care. 🌟
Hi! Was this any good? Can you give some feedback about this product? I´m planning on purchasing one for my Grand Cherokee
Hello Javier, yes mate it is pretty good, overall it is a great improvement over the factory that I had, take a little bit of time to install it but once it is on, you won't regret it, the only thing that I was not too happy about was that the resolution is not as sharp as I would like it to be, nevertheless it is not the actual module, it is the factory screen that doesn't have the right resolution, but it is not a deal breaker. I say go for it mate, any questions for the installation please let me know I am happy to help.
Hi Daniel I just tried to install this same system in my 2017 jeep cherokee and I had a couple of questions: 1. Can you switch between the module and the normal system using the steering wheel controls? (mine only works with the button) 2. Can you see the backup camera while reversing in Carplay? (mine will not work) 3. How is everything working now after 5 months?
Hello Troy, yes mate you should be able to switch between the 2 systems, you need to long press the middle bottom that's behind the steering wheel on the left side, you should have a bottom for up, down and a round middle bottom, long press on that and it should switch between the 2. Yes the camera should activate automatically once it is on reverse and when you put it on drive after you reach 10 to 15 km it should deactivate. Everything is pretty good, however I never got the mirroring to work correctly, it is very blurry and the streaming quality it is not great and whenever I get it to work (after multiple attends) it looks ok, but it is very laggy, that part is not good, but I never really use mirroring, other than that pretty good. If you are still having issue let me know, happy to help.
@@trucusolutions4455Daniel I appreciate you getting back to me about this and I suspect that the reason why mine does not work has to do with my vehicle being American left and drive vs what you have in Australia. Somehow Jeep must have changed things between the two versions. I say this because I saw a review on Amazon about the joyeauto wjjp-1 and they had the same issues I am experiencing. So it may just be for Australian vehicles.
No worries mate, happy to help, maybe give it go using the right side instead, it is worth a try.
Troy, I just installed mine and the steering wheel long press did not work either. You mentioned "(mine only works with the button)"... what button is that? I can't get mine to work at all. Any help appreciated.
@@PaulRouillard Hi Paul my unit came with a small square button that I had to attach to my wiring harness. If you have the diagram you should see it. Unfortunately I can not post a picture of it here in the comments but if I find a video I will link it.
