G-d has many names, Adonai, HaShem, etc. In Judaism, much of it is down to preference. Many Rabbi’s talk about how they will use Adonai in prayer and song, but HaShem when discussing G-d.
Maybe because this is for a movie and not an actual prayer/blessing. I could imagine that out of respect for God the wording was modified for filming purposes.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the movie. One of the most brilliant touches, if one looks closely, is the color in the candle flames, the light in the darkness. It echoes the color of the candles at the beginning. Except for the little girl in the red coat I believe it's the only color in the film till the end.

Formal you say Adonai. Since this is informal, he used a different name. There's a comment somewhere that explains it.
