Fantastico.,..
A city of sadness is a masterpiece, cant wait to discover more of his filmography.
A City of Sadness is his magnum opus. If you loved it, then you will certainly enjoy all of his movies from the 80's. They carry the same energy, and even though they tell different stories, in a way, they are very similar. Taiwan's "problems" are always present. He often shows both the best and worst of people, of family, and of the country. However, don't expect another A City of Sadness. To me, that movie is a "compilation" of his 80s films, taken to near perfection. In the 90's and 00's, he adopted a new style, still using his long takes, but with a different form, more camera movement, more slow motion. It’s a little bit more similar to WKW style, I would say. Still, it's impressive work and great films. In 2015, he took on a new challenge and made an "action" movie (The Assassin), which is probably one of the slowest action movies ever, but also one of the most beautiful. It's a must-watch!
He is a legend
I could only recognise abraham's valley, what is the other movies?
Apart from Abraham's Valley, there are also clips from "Memories and Confessions", "No, or The Vain Glory of Command", "Gebo and the Shadow", "Benilde or The Virgin Mother" and "Voyage to the Beginning of the World".
@@_diogo_lima Thanks
Lovely! Can I please the titles of the films? I know some of them.
Thank you! The movies are: "Oh, Sun" (1970), "The Child of Another" (1975) aka: "Muna Moto", "Hyenas" (1992), "Touki Bouki" (1973), "The Little Girl Who Sold the Sun" (1999), "The Nightingale's Prayer" (1959), "Cairo Station" (1958), "The Mummy" (1969) aka: "The Night of Counting the Years", "Black Girl" (1966) and "I Am Not a Witch" (2017)

the greatest of our time
There is a peculiar sadness about her.
But who could do sadness and be so beautiful?
Thanks you, this is fantastic!
can I ask what is this background music? thanks
"Migratory Birds Flying Away" by korean singer Jung Hoon Hee.
@@_diogo_lima thank you!
She is quite a character. Her acting and films seem never have been better before but I hope she could appear in mainstream movies one day. A famous film critic/writer in Korea Djuna once said She's such an actress who is hard to be ruined (by some shoddy movie she starred in before) due to her unique style.
Beautiful intro
Thank you very much!
Hell yes, fantastic video, NBC is such a masteful filmmaker.
Thanks my friend, alongside of being a masterful filmmaker, he is also, in my opinion, a teacher for those who aspire to be directors. Definitely one of the greats of our generation.
Oh Anna, my beautiful Anna i'll never forget an angel like you
This is one of the most precious channels I’ve ever come across. I’m so grateful to be a part of this

It's like your comments.
This is a beautiful video. Puts Tarantino's films in a new perspective even though these are all undeniably his shots. Great choice for music, what are the tracks?
You can see on the description! This guy always choice the best music for the video.
Smoking 🚬 looks sexy in movies.
she’s so cute
After watching Kieslowski's artistic film works, this editing truly pierces deep into the soul."
0:50 I love the close-up shot of the donkey's eyes, also the red color filled entire screen is so aesthetic. Great music and scenes as always!
Hi! I agree with you, I also like that shot, the powerful red color intensifies the tension and anger of the scene, EO photography is unique. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, I always appreciate them.
Claudia!

Quite the peculiar director, isn't he? Nice shot selection, by the way, keep up the great work.
Thank you so much, he is definitely one of a kind, one of the best at doing non-dialogue scenes, capturing the true reality and nature of the human being. Also keep up the beautiful work you've been doing on your channel.

Thank you for your comment, they are always special.
Until 4 days ago I never knew she existed and that for me is a shame. I love her elegant bobbed/fringe hair style as it framed her face in the best way possible-what a stunner!!! Anna on the surface sure was lovely.
Really like those moments that you decided to pick for this video. Great editing. Thank you! Will rewatch this when I feel bad.
Thanks for that
