I haven't looked into OP08 yet, I will start looking into the format after Nationals. I'll also probably have some more gameplay on Lucci sometime in OP08 as well as some of the other decks.

I made a few changes to the list, the current list I've been testing is on my Twitter which is in the description of this video.

I'm still doing some testing with Lucci, Issho seems better in the post-ban meta than it was in the pre-ban meta now that R/P Law isn't a deck. I'm still not sure if I want to run the 2 8c Sabo or 2 Issho, I did a lot more testing with the 8c Sabo than I have with the Issho, so lately I have already started testing Issho, it just depends on how much I want to tech for B/Y Luffy which will rise in popularity with R/P Law gone. The best tech for B/Y Luffy is the Nightmare Luffy, so if I want to tech for B/Y Luffy I would run at least 2 of the Nightmare Luffy with 2 Issho as well potentially. There is a lot more testing I need to do but the list in this video felt really solid after a couple hundred games, but could definitely be improved on for sure, and 8c Sabo is probably the first card I will most likely end up cutting, I also want to reduce or cut 5c Kaku as well.

@@Chad1197 Gecko is more consistent but Lucci is more powerful and has the better removal. I think Lucci is still in a better position in the meta than Moria in the post ban format but I have considered Gecko due to it being more consistent than Lucci. I'm probably playing Lucci for nats though

@@BraindeadTCG That is what I was thinking. Heck some people are pondering to make lucci sakazuki style but I dont think its a big dead, even without the stage he is dangerous.

I don't have enough Navy targets in the list to play Brannew over Spandam and its not worth it to change this build to a navy build, if I wanted to run the navy package I would just play Moria.

@@LeSchakoZz The banlist already dropped, Enies Lobby and R/P Law leader got hit and for the English meta it is going in effect on September 6th so Moria isn't getting banned anytime soon if it ever does, which I doubt it will because the best time to ban it was now. I don't know what I'm going to play when the bans are in effect, but I'm going to be doing a lot of testing because NA nationals is in OP07 post ban format and I'm going. As far as 08 goes, I have not paid attention to it because my only focus right now in this game is nationals which is 07 post ban format. If moria did get hit I would not play this deck, and I do not know what I am going to play in the post-ban format at the moment until I do a lot of testing.

I did end up cutting the 5c kaku a couple weeks ago, the card ultimately ended up feeling pretty mid the more I tested with the deck. Finger Pistol ended up feeling way better than I thought it would be, mainly because its a more consistent way to remove something in the law matchup.

Stussy is really good against Enel, but the Enel matchup is already extremely favored for Lucci so the card isn't needed. It's not a bad card though, and is also good in other matchups but for the tournament I expected a lot of Law and 8c Sabo is better than Issho and Stussy into that matchup so I played 8c Sabo instead of something like Issho or Stussy.

@raymondcai1553 Honestly, I don't think Nightmare Luffy is a great card. The card is good into B/Y Luffy but that's pretty much it. It's okay against Enel and can potentially stop 7c Enel from being able to use it's effect. It's bad against the mirror match because for the card to get any value, it has to stay on the board for a turn, and Lucci has a lot of ways to remove it. If I'm not removing anything I'd much rather play Kalifa or Sabo to help draw into pieces like 8c Gecko Moria. 6c Brook is a generically good card that also gets around 4c Borsalino and 5c Sabo, and also doesn't have to send back cards in the trash to the bottom of the deck to remove something which is really good because it keeps cards in trash for other effects.

@@BraindeadTCG thanks for the detailed response. I was thinking the same and after testing with nm luffy it did feel a little awkward on some turns. Another Q thoughts on borsa ? I feel it’s pretty good in this set with only rp law being able to bottom deck. Playing in 4 don or bringing it back with gecko in the mirror can feel decent

@raymondcai1553 I've been testing 4c Borsalino lately, I like it a lot right now. It's strong in the mirror and it's good into B/Y Luffy because Egghead Luffy can't KO it.

@wahakacheese I think the finger pistol card isn't that good. It's for dealing with Basil Hawkins but Bonney is a good matchup for Lucci and the card isn't needed. If they swing with Hawkins you can attack into it, if not it's a card that is just sitting on board and not getting much value. I think rush lucci isn't needed at all, it's a cool card but having to send cards back from trash for it's effect isn't that great especially when you need cards in there to send back for KO effects and cards to play off Moria.

@@patrickkaufmann4702 I honestly don't like Issho as a card but if I expect a decent amount of B/Y Luffy in a tournament or I like the card whenever I test it again then I'll probably put Issho in my deck instead of the 8c Sabo.

@@abiolindo9532 I expected more R/P Law than B/Y Luffy, and 8c Sabo is good into Law while Issho is good into Luffy so I played 8c Sabo instead. I also like that 8c Sabo fits into your game plan of removing your opponent's characters because Lucci is a straight removal deck, while playing Issho doesn't remove anything but is more of a tech card for matchups like B/Y Luffy that just also happens to be good against Bonney and Enel, which Sabo is also good against Bonney and can be good against Enel just to have another card to remove a big card on Enel's board when you don't have Moria in your hand because you won't always have Moria in your hand especially when you already played 1 or 2.

@COV_Dogtooth I try to mulligan for Moria, you need to have at least 2 9k bodies on board to have a chance and even then it's a really bad matchup even if you run things like Nightmare Luffy and Issho. You want to try to survive as long as possible while trying to deplete their hand, you don't want to swing at them before they go to 0 if you cannot force cards out of their hand. When I do play cards down like Moria I try to play Rebecca and spandam off of it to try to get counter to survive as long as possible until I have to go for game.

@@Kc2Crazy it's very important that you don't let cards like Urouge and Cavendish stick. Just try to clear everything that you can while establishing a wide board, seeing your moria's really help as well. If they swing with Hawkins you can swing at it to try to clear it, if they don't swing with Hawkins it's basically a card that isn't doing anything on the board.

If I have any free time, I might be down to do this but honestly it seems unlikely I will get to it, but if I can, I might do this because it seems like a cool idea for these types of videos.

@@richardshiflett5181 even with the techs, the B/Y Luffy matchup is still unfavored. Sure, Issho is also good against Bonney and solid against Enel but was a dead card in all the other matchups. I also feel like a lot of people exaggerate how bad the B/Y Luffy matchup is, the matchup is definitely B/Y Luffy favored but it's not unwinnable and there's things you can do as Lucci to win games against B/Y Luffy even when the Luffy player doesn't misplay. I just wanted to make the rest of the matchups better and not run the techs, it worked out because there wasn't really any B/Y Luffy at the top tables and the highest placing one at the store regional was 4th but they lost round 1 so I didn't have to worry about hitting the matchup.

@kentymashmilo758 there's 2 nats. 1 is in September which is the Dallas one and Orlando is in January. There's LCQs but the main event is invite only and since I'm going to Dallas I have to get another invite to play the Orlando nats

It's insane into Moria and good in the mirror, and good in other situations as well. KOing a character while playing one is really good in this game. Last set I could see maybe cutting it but definitely not this set with the card being good against 2 of the top 3 decks I'd definitely run. I've even liked it at 4 and would never cut it or reduce the number I run it.

If it is, I didn't know that, that's interesting. A bunch of Katakuri lists seem to be very close to the same other than Onami or no Onami. I've been testing quite a bit of Katakuri and I just happened to land on this list.

Thank you! I know the stage would be good in this deck but I just wanted to stick to the 50 events and make it even more challenging. I realized early on there should've been more counter events, but regardless it was very fun to do the challenge and make the video!

@@computo9349 all the different files are for the different devices it supports, basically if you have an Android download the Android file if your device is Windows download the Windows file, etc.

I already did 50 different cards with a trigger effect for a challenge on my channel 😂 it's a recent video that I did, it was actually my first challenge video. I wanted to add a stage to the deck, but I wanted to keep it simple with the deck building so I just did the 50 events, it would've been cool though too
